How do I eat a Brown Turkey Fig?

I picked a few up on a whim at a farmer's market...they look like little, light green dumplings.

They need ripening if they're green.

I have both the green and black varieties of turkish . I pick them once they are slightly soft to the touch, but still firm. wash them and pop them in my mouth..yummy the green variety just need to be soft and have a fragrance of warmth..so to speak. Enjoy!!
