Does anyone have any good links or information on safely cleansing while nursing a toddler?

My daughter is 19 mo. and eats everything under the sun but still likes to get her nurse on as well.

I'm wanting to do a detox cleanse really bad and have just started eating raw. Is just converting to a raw food diet going to help detox me enough until we quit breastfeeding all together? Or are there other ways I can cleanse without harming her?

I'm thinking it'd be fine for me to do Oil Pulling, jumping on a trampoline, dry brushing, and sweating?

Thanks!!

body knows you're nursing, so I would just make sure you're eating the raw foods your body is calling for. You probably want to avoid any detox type herbs or supplements, just focus on staying raw and hydrated.

Exercise will change the taste of the breastmilk but shouldn't cause any problems. Increasing your garlic intake can both make your milk more tasty (weird I know) but also provide some means of protection for both you and your daughter as you detox.

Shoney,

Thanks about the tip about garlic. Do you think using more garlic in food or garlic supplements would be good too?

Thanks,

I don't have an opinion about the breastfeeding part of your post but I sure like a couple of the items on your detox list. The rebounding (trampoline) is an outstanding way to help move the lymphatic fluids in the body as the lymphatic fluid moves in response to the motion of the body. Sweating is a great way to expell toxins from the body and is used in many detox programs. If you don't have a steam bath available you can put some extra blankets on your bed and have a night sweat.
