Am I crazy? A big one and a small one...I need to stop thinking about eating too much. Today:

Breakfast: 3/4 of an entire coconut.

Snack: Banana, strawberry and cherry smoothie.

Lunch: 3 tomatoes and 2 avacado (One large green, one small dark one)

I don't see any problem with eating two avocados. It is much better than eating ice cream or fried chicken. From what I understand, avocados are very nutritious. :)

I know, I know! I am so bad...maybe I am uncovering concerns that I didn't realize I had.

All I know is is that I have consumed massive amounts of crap in the past and never gave it another thought..well, not many, and surely not enough to stop me. My belief is that on raw you will know when you have really overdone it. The one very cool thing about raw is that after I eat I feel full, satisfied, but never that horrid, Oh geez I wish I hadn't done that feeling...you know what I mean? Unless you feel ill or bloated you will eventually trust your body and know it's ok.

Though I wouldn't worry about it too much, it does look like you're taking in a lot of fats... the coconut and the avocados. I'm not saying I don't do the same from time to time, but it's good to realize that it's not ideal. That being said, I can think of many a time when I've overdone it with the fats.

I think it's good to know the "rules" and what's ideal and what's not - not so that you strictly follow them all the time, but rather just so that you know. Then you're able to choose when to follow these guidelines and when not to. But that's just my opinion.

Y'know, I wouldn't worry about it.

When I first went raw, I'd have 3 or 4 a day because my body was still getting used to not having SAD fats. I still lost weight, but not as quickly as others.

I say have what you like and just try to balance it out :D

I eat about two per day (usually 1 1/2) and it doesn't bother me. I can eat plain fruits and veggies and will always be hungry unless I have more fat. I prefer to eat avocados than a lot of oil or nuts.

Before reading the post I thought "so!?" haha. I don't know what your previous diet was before raw, but did you ever truely think about what you were eating like you are now? I find it intereting how some people go raw THEN they worry about their fat/protein/carbs/etc. (that wasn't directed at you, just in general). Your body will even itself out. When it no longer needs the fat, it'll tell you. I go months of eating 2-3 a day and then months where I won't eat any at all. Just listen to your body and try not to worry.

i have many times just binged out since ive been raw (its about 7 months now) on ridiculous amounts of fats. i just got back from mexico, where i was eating very simply (the most complex thing was a salad), so for the past week i have been eating terribly (raw of course); i have gone through almost a quart of homemade nut butter in the past week. i have eaten a lot of chocolate bars (shazzies) which contain like a 100 somthin grams of fat in them. i have probably averaged about 200-300 grams of fat per day. i have not regretted it at all (now i am sick of fat but i am not obsessing over the fact that i gained a couple pounds, which my skinny bones probably needed anyways); i am trying to just listen to my body which has been telling me for a few days to chill out, which i am finally doing.

my point is that what has worked best for me is just to give in to my stupid emotional craving stuff and eventually my body will teach me a lesson and reprogram itself, and then my cravings will have a lot of meaning and will be accurate. this has already really started to happen. 2 avocados is fine. you might want to lay off on the fat for breakfast, but other than that dont worry about it. your body will regulate itself eventually. now if you are eating 2 avocados, a coconut, and a tray of fudge (which i basically did yesterday), you might want to take it easy and try to listen to the body signals.

power of suggestion... I just ate two avocados tonight. I made guacamole with them and used it to stuff a red bell pepper.
