I find myself shopping so often during the week. I go once or twice for fruits and veggies...different farmers markets...then I go a few times to search for all the cool, yummy things I read about online...like coconut butter...and cocao...maybe it is just because I am new at this?

I do that, too. I have to shop more often because I am feeding a family of six and we go through lots of fruits and veggies. People usually make comments at the store when I come through the line with so much produce. :D "Are you really going to eat all of that?"

You can shop on the internet for some things. That helps to cut down your trips to the store.

Since going raw, I can really tell the difference between fresh greens and 2-3 day old greens :D so I find myself shopping more often as well. They are normally one large trip on the weekends and 1-3 smaller treks to the farmers markets for a few items. Sometimes I go, sometimes he goes.

We are a family of two and both of us are 100% raw.

Oh, goodness, constantly, I'm afraid. I think I'll get more efficient at it in the future but for now it keeps me on top of the produce. You know how fast fresh stuff can get slimy!

I did when I first went raw - went shopping a lot. Until I built up my nut supply, my date supply, my agave, cacao powder, etc, etc. Since incorporating Green Smoothies - I shop way less - because I eat way less. I also belong to an organic food co-op. I get my box once a month, filled with a lot of good stuff. Then in between the box I go to my local farmer's market and get what's in season now - or I go pick and freeze for winter's feasting. It takes a while to pre-plan, you'll get the 'hang' of it.

Some weeks, 3 or 4 times a week. But sometimes it's only for a few items. I get my organic produce box every Wed., but I usually need to buy a few additional things from the produce dept. Both daughter and husband LOVE apples and there's never enough or the right kind in the box to suit them. Husband will only eat Delicious and daughter prefers those but will sometimes eat other varieties. Then there are times when she will go on a pear kick and eat tons of those. Of course it's never when they're in season, seeing as how we have two pear trees and all.

Daughter and husband are not on a raw diet so there are always things they want or need and neither one is good about letting me know ahead of time. So it seems there is always some kind of panic situation when they run out of something and need it right away. Then there are the non-edible things they always seem to want.

I go three or four times a week. Once to the HFS, and a few more times to a nearby store. In fall, I'm probably going to frequent the Asian store for gai lan (right now I'm not interested in crucifers).
