Hey, I successfully and happily recently completed ten days of juice fasting. I made a big green lemonade in the morning, perhaps 20 ounces, and later would make maybe 10 on carrot juice. And of course lots of quality water. That was perfect for my body. A couple of days I was out hiking and juiced apples with blue berries. At the end of the fast I juiced water melon. It was great.
I would generally recommend juicing when you're hungry and allowing yourself to drink as much as you want. I found myself being satisfied with a certain amount of juice and then naturally just wanting water. Your body will communicate to you.
The Fasting Bandit thread helped me tremendously. Enjoy your fast. They're so spiritual!

I think that it was Jay Kordich who answered that question this way. If you tip to the side and the juice comes out of your ear, you've had too much. :D
You really can't over juice but your body will absorb only about 10-15 oz at a sitting.

I like to have small amounts of juice spaced about 15 to 30 minutes apart. The amount of juice I typically make could be made from two average sized carrots and a clove of garlic and then the next time I juice it might be one apple or something else about that size. I like to keep the amount of juice small and keep going back to the juicer frequently. Try it some time you might like it. :)

I myself never do more than 8-10 oz at a sitting and I drink that slowly. I was just saying that the experts say that you shouldn't do more than 10 to 15 oz at a time. :)

Check out www.juicefeasting.com or www.rawreform.com. Angela Stokes did a 92 day Juice "Feast" recently and talks about it on her webite and blog. She also has a book about it. In a juice "feast" you get to drink as much juice as you want. Usually you consume 3-4L of juice a day.

I usually do 5-7 cups (40-56 oz.)

any specific combinations?
I like to have at least three cups of apple juice, each mixed with the juice of half a lemon, or a whole lemon. Whichever I feel like.
I also like to have at least two cups of the following horrid concoction: carrot juice, collard green juice, broccoli juice, cucumber juice, and asparagus juice. Usually the concoction contains only four of the above ingredients, but carrot juice is always one of them.

I don't know how wise the above combinations are. It's just what I do.

And how do you do it while working?
I have bought a dozen 8 ounce home canning jars. I do my juicing in the evening, juice everything I will need for the next day plus one extra just in case, and put it in the jars. I always fill it to slightly overflowing before I put the lid on, this way I can get all or at least most of the air out. I try to never juice any more than I will need for 24 hours, but I have read that the juice will keep well in the fridge if in canning jars for 48 hours. I put the jars in my little one-person cooler the following morning and throw some ice in, and take them to work with me.

Never heard of it. Sorry. :(

Good luck to you. :)
