I was doing laundry out of town and next to the laundrymat there was a health foods store so while I was waiting for the clothes to dry I skipped over like a giddy little girl and when I walked in my eyes were HUGE!!! Ilse and rows of raw!!!! :D The store is called Lyn-Dy's
I bought a pack of raw-e-o's ($9.49 for a 6 pak) yikes! and a raw food bar which was chocolate chip, coconut and it made me melt! Every bite had at least 6 chocolate chips!
Anwyay thought I would take a pic of my yummy snack before it's all gone!
:) sorry photo is so darn large

I got some of those when I was visiting my mom in Vegas at the Go Raw Cafe.
And I'm not sure if it was due to eating simple raw at that time, and then suddenly eating those....but, I could only eat one cuz they seemed so dense. The flavor was good tho.
Did they sit ok on your stomach?

I saw those in the market when we were in California. Also had some white ones with chocolate filling... I almost shoplifted, it all looked so good! LOL

Here is rp's recipe:
O-raw-o
1cup walnuts
1cup dates (pitted)
3/4cup cacao
blend in food processor
make into 24 balls
smash balls flat into 1/8" thick on teflex sheet and dehydrate until they are fairly dry, then flip over and continue drying until crisp
center
1/2 cup coconut meat
1/2 cup dates (pitted)
1" vanilla scraped
I would try to make this as stiff as possible, if I had to add a bit of coconut water or maybe orange juice to make it blend then I would, then you could dehydrate inside the cookie to thicken it, or maybe into rounds on a teflex sheet and then put inside the cookies.
Well how i did that was to soak the cashews first then I incorperated them with coconut butter, a little dried coconut, some vanilla and blended it in a high speed blender. This was the filling. I just dumped stuff in until I liked the taste and consistancy.
For the cookie part I combined raw almonds, agave, stevia, coconut butter, dried coconut and raw cacao powder in a food processor.
I then rolled the dough out between two sheets of wax paper and used a biscuit cutter to make "professional looking" circles.
Then I dehydrated them. When they were done I rolled about a tablespoon of filling in a ball in my palm then put it between two cookies and squished a bit.
Then I chilled them. I am going to try a different mix next time for the cookie part using sprouted flour or left over nut milk pulp.
You could have something there Julie. Double the cocoa in Raw Priestess' Brownie recipe add a little ground flax to hold it together and press it into very thin discs. Could roll into balls and then press down with the bottom of a coconut oil coated glass. Then dehydrate them TILL THE COWS COME HOME!
I have the filling for oreos!! I bought coconut creme from onelucky duck (alissa sells it now too, i think), mix the coconut creme with agave and vanilla....taste just like the middle of an oreo! in fact, when they started selling the coconut creme, the advertisement for it said "craving oreos?"

Just a note for anyone who's vegan... the store-bought Raweo's have honey in them :( I keep wanting to try them because they look so yummy, and they have at least 3 flavors--regular, fudge, and chai--but sadly all have honey. That, and the price...ouch! Cheapest I've seen those packs was $7.99! Much more fun to make your own anyway :)
