gah, i was just on my trampoline and wearing shorts and i didnt realize how much cellulite has krept up onto my legs, thighs, calves, hips, etc. I even have it on my ankles! I also have red stretch marks on my inner thighs and im noticing new little red ones on my hips :/. Will raw help with cellulite and possibly, maybe stretch marks? I feel too icky to wear a bathing suit or shorts now... and im not even overweight.

Unfortunately stretch marks don't disappear, but they do fade. Making sure you are moisturized from the INSIDE(fats, OMegas), and outside (Shea butter, coconut oil especially).

Cellulite is treatable in my opinion. Exercise, lots of water, good diet, dry brushing. David Wolfe has a something in his book "Eating for Beauty" that if you want to flush cellulite juice or eat only grapefruit for three days and see a difference. Grapefruit is very cleansing but also an anti-inflammatory. I've incorporated grapefruit juice in my diet, and I dry brush EVERYDAY. I never had a ton of cellulite, but it's there and noticeable to me, but I've seen a very good improvement.

I find it weird that as a 21+ year vegetarian that I've got cellulite as well. I'm also doing the grapefruit juice and what I've just begun doing are salt scrubs.

I went to a spa recently and they did a dry scrub and I realized it's not only the scrub itself which will help but the action of scrubbing. Much more fun for me than skin brushing YET, as I was sugar scrubbing, I was thinking maybe a skin brushing before the scrubbing will really improve the circulation.

You can find out more about the scrubs in the "Abundance" thread. (don't ask how we got from Abundance yet... it's there and we're going for it. :D )

Being Raw for 14 months has not helped mine. Sorry! I do think age (I'm 51) & genetics have a lot to do with it though.

Right. I think it's the increasing circulation that helps flush fat pockets and gets things moving around. I had a body buff (which was just a dry scrub) and mudwrap at a spa and I realized that the body buffing could just be done at home (and for a heck of a lot cheaper.) I don't dry brush, but I do wet brush in the shower with my body wash. I also do have brown sugar or epsom salt scrubs (homemade) that I use every so often. I think it does help with skin tone, but it really does all just come down to getting the circulation flowing.

Suffer? Cancer is suffering. Chemotherapy and radiation is suffering. Cellulite? Just a pita is all.

HAD to say that.

That is why these are the hardest parts of your body to lose weight from; it's the fridge for your future child.

At 58 I do NOT need a fridge for the kid!!!

I read that green tea helps tighten the skin, but you dont drink it you put it in your bath water. I tried it because I had a bunch of green tea left since going raw. I don't know if it helped my skin, but it was very relaxing smelling the tea. It was almost as good as drinking it. It was in this months issue of First magazine. The same one with the raw food article.

I bought the book 'The Coconut oil Miracle' & it is very, very interesting. I have been using it as a moisturizer on my body & face since yesterday. Ohhhhh...skin soooo soft. They say that CO actually heals different things whether you ingest it or apply it topically. I love the fact that I'm using a product that is so natural in my body. I can't wait to see how it works in the long run.

For cellulite my N.D. would recommend the herbs : Chickweed (it breaks the cholesterol ring around the fat, and is also an appetite supressant. But do not take if you have heart problems.) and Kelp...which supposedly helps direct the removal of the fat from the hip/buttock region. My best friend did this, and took it 3x's a day...and she DID get amazing results. She wasn't vegetarian, but stayed away from junk food. There is also a particular kind of massage that is suppose to manually break up the fat (and it is uncomfortable, I had it done in college), but alas I did not see much improvement. So I'm going to try the chickweed/kelp now that I'm not nursing or eating SAD anymore I think I should get quick results.
Hope this helps,
Mishka

Hi Mishka,

How were the herbs taken? What form? Teas? Capsules?

I'm thinking the massage you're talking about is lymphatic? Yuh! Definitely uncomfortable and one does need to go through a series of them to be effective.

I had one client who couldn't lose water weight over a year after having her child. After we did one session she lost two cup sizes. (Can't remember much else about that... she was a tall, big woman and she had held water throughout her lymph).

I need any help I can get here! I am 25 years old, 5'5" and 105 lbs. I excercise every single day and have been high raw since April, 100% for a week now.

I have always had cellulite on my thighs and butt, no matter what I weighed. But today I noticed for the first time ever... cellulite on my STOMACH! WHAT is this and WHY?! Why did it develop after going raw? All I eat is fruits, veggies, green smoothies and maybe some seeds... I average 1200 calories a day and burn about 500.

Sooooo.... why the cellulite? When I had the same caloric intake and excertion on SAD I had a hot body! I don't want to lose faith!

I'm only guessing here yet, I'm thinking it's because you've lost some of ~ hmmm, what's it called? Let's just say some of the fat surronding the cells and so the lil pockets of fat are now showing. I'm thinking, at your age, this may be released? Dunno. All I know is, I'm doing more yoga, drinking grapefruit juice and scrubbing daily AND I may look into the herbs mentioned. LOL

You know, for me, I've always been an experiment and just continue to be so. I'll let y'as know what happens.

O.k., so what I was thinking of is the "false body" (of course, you probably wanted the cellulite to be part of that? :D ) so, the "fat cells" show up now. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, makes a difference.

Joining the Club..Thin / Fit Women with Cellulite ! I have always been thin and noticed my first Cellulite at 24..I was 5'6.5" and 110 pounds ! Over the years it has slowly increased, while I ran daily, bodybuilding for 20 years, Competed on Stage, was at points 10-15% bodyfat and it was always there at varied degrees. The only time it was not visable to others was when I would water deplete for stage, put on tan and get to 8% bodyfat (but I could still see it then !)

Now at the age of 46 my twin and I said ENOUGH as we tried and tried everything on the market, tried dieting, detox diets and on and on...until one day 6 months ago my sister got a package of 25 Colonics...and started a Parasite Cleanse at the same time. At Colonic 10-12 they noticed loads of Parasites and into the 30th..Adult Parasite in her Colonic Water. ..She has now had 40 Colonics. She has done Colon, Parasite, Liver, Kidney and Lymph Cleanse...And beleive it or not..she is finally Parasite Free AND CELLULITE FREE ! NONE !! ZERO !! after 22 years ! So suspecting I had the same issue as We determined the Parasites are from our Childhood playing in the Dirt, Collecting Eggs in the Chicken Coop (nasty things..) and playing in the Dirt barefoot (making mudpies, which we didn't eat BTW..:p ) and eating right from the Garden. Also my sister and I ate lots of Raw Fish Sashimi.

I am now on a heavy duty Parasite Cleanse and Liver Cleanse and will start Colonics soon...already 3 months into it the Cellulite has gone by about 30-40%. So experience is telling us that as we went from Childhood to Adulthood (and the greblies grew with us) that our Bodies could no longer detox (parasites release loads of toxins) and the skin accumulates what the body cannot process thru the system...thus the Cellulite. Thats what I believe Cellulite is. Our lifestyles of Chemicals, Pesticids and all ...our bodies are in overload !

I've had mild cellulite on and off since I hit puberty, and I'm still in my early 20s.

I've found on 100% raw, all the cellulite went away when I was regularly consuming grapefruit smoothies. Eating them didn't do much, but blended was fabulous. My bum was so smoothe! Green juice & drinking a lot of water too. It definitely seems to be related to hydration.

I do regular colonics... one per month. How do I go about doing a liver, parasite and lymph cleanse? Alissa has something posted about the liver cleanse, but where do I get info on the others?

Desperate! I just signed a modeling contract and am petrified... they've not seen me in a bikini since this all started and I swear it looks like someone injected my thighs and tummy with cottage cheese and orange peels :(

As i lost weight, my cellulite at first became more visible and is only now slowly diminishing. I think as I lost weight, some of it was muscle, and that made the cellulite more visible. I also noticed more cellulite started appearing a couple years ago, in my early-mid 20s, so I wonder if it has to do with getting older. I think exercise has also helped me; I jog a lot and I feel like it flushes everything out.

Great news, yes it will go away. I am almost 43 years old and i have been 100% for only 4 months and my cellulite is almost gone. I haven't check my body fully but i wouldn't be surprise that this is completely gone now. Here is what i do that works for me. First i am doing this diet for my HEALTH. This is my focus and the lost of weight ect is bonus. I have lost all the extra weight and more. But i think that i have lost at least 10 pounds of toxine that built up. I am still clearing for i still have mucus. I use to have bronchite and pneumonia sometime i read that dairy could make you vulnarable to this. I am never again doing dairy.

1)Focus on Health. Losing weight or cellulite is the effect of health. Let go the attachment completely and truly make choice for your health.

2)Even though our mind may not agree, feeling gratitude for our body (self healing, self cleaning, keeping us alive, so we experience the touch with our loved one, the smell, the taste, that it allows us to do so many things)

3)I DON'T EAT PAST 7PM. If i don't have time to eat diner before that time, i choose to fast. I read this is good fasting so this is my way of doing this. Also, you will loose the weight mainly at night and cleanse your toxine then. If you eat late, you will use the energy to digest instead and reduce the amount of time of detox and loose the extra pound.

4)I do my best to drink green smoothies or juice every day www.rawfamily.com TONE OF WATER TOO.

5)I AM not worry about eating good fat. I even take a tea spoon of raw coconut oil sometime. And tones of fruits (We all are different, i do good with fruits> I ate normally fruit until lunch but sometime i make exception. (I also read that this is important to have the good fat in order to clear the bad fat in our body) It seems to work for me.

6)I DO my best to listen to my body and just eat what its wants (not talking about addiction or impulse), and mainly i enjoy life.

I haven't exercise for four months either because i still nurse by baby and my milk was going down, but i will start some weight training soon and cardio now. For i love exercising. Plus with this diet i got the energy.

anyone know something good to help with stretch marks? I Feel like they are becoming more visible even though im not gaining weight. i think its bc i havent' been exercissing in while so my muscle tone is meh. i know they probly wont disappear (there are skin colored ones allover my butt and hips and red ones on my inner thighs) but i would love to see them improved.

i think all you can do with stretch marks is wait for them to fade. my hips grew sooo quickly and all through junior high i had huge purple "scratch marks" on my hips, very visible. it was embarrassing as my hips grew early and no one else really had any :( now though, they are still there but theyve faded, thankfully no longer purple. vitamin E oil helps to fade them faster, apparently.

would coconut or olive oil help? and is there anything to do to get rid of the grooves? most of mine are skin color/whitish but you can still see them because they are grooves in my skin.

I would do the body scrubs and/or skin brushing as well as a good oil or shea butter. I think the act of adding circulation to the skin is more important than what oil/butter one uses.

We'll find out as more of us transform and evolve!

I will share. I have a Protocol I have been following so I will post it in the AM.

I started with Dr Natura 4 minths ago and did the Colon Parasite and Toxin Out. I would say it got e started but did not see dramatic results. My sister turned me to thewolfeclininc.com. I started the Royal Tea and Royal Flora, then the Liver Cleanse Liquid. After 2 bottles of that I moved to the Candida Parasite Cleanse of Sylvicor. I did that for a month. Now I am only doing the TRoyal Tea Royal Flora and Bowtrol (which was a real eyeopener when it come to Parasite Cleanse). I am one week into the Bowtrol. I start Colonics in 2 weeks till...whenever ! My sis is 6 months into the cleanse and still has parasites so this may take me awhile too. It is aa blessing she decided to investigate some of her Health/digestive issues and came across this so we can get clean !
