My Green Smoothie to go bad? Can i make it in the morning, and put it in a thermus and then in the fridge at work, and consume it about 4 hours after it has been made?
does having it sit around do anything to the fiber? nutrients? vitamins?
any answers?
thanks

It'll be fine...if need be just shake it up a little but other than that you should be good to go!
Also, in an interview (I believe) Victoria Boutenko, author of the green smoothie book, "Green for Life", said that due to the fiber preserving it, green smoothies (unlike green juices) can last up to 3 or 4 days in the fridge.

I had a smoothie once and I couldnt finish it all so I left it for a few hours, but it was sooo fibrous and mushy, but I just plopped it back in my vita for a quick pulse, and wallah Smoothie time !

you can also freeze them overnight and take them to work like that, then they will thaw and you can stir them up, and if you're lucky they can even be a little slushy. And it saves you doing all that in the morning if you're hurried in the a.m. to get out the door.
I've been making a blender full, dividing it between 4 jars, and drinking one each morning. The last one is as good as the first. As Rawkie says just shake and it's ready.
