I went cold turkey too, just a few weeks ago. (I was drinking about 2 diet Pepsi/Coke a day, but at one point I was up to like 8 a day.) I didn't get any bad feelings or headaches doing it, maybe because I drank tons of water. The funny thing was that I just wanted a sip one day, about 2 weeks into I think, and when I had that sip, it tasted AWFUL! Like chemicals! So I threw it out and I have had no desire for anymore.

Best of luck on kicking this habit!! :) You'll soon realize how much better plain ole WATER is!

Hi, I used to be a Breve' addict, started drinking coffee when I was 4, finally gave it up at age 40, then started again at age 47. then gave it up on Jan 19, this year.

So, the easiest way on your system is to give it up a little at a time, as it will give you terrible headaches, and nausea, etc. on caffeine withdrawl.

So, mix your diet pepsi, with 1/2 diet pepsi caffeine free, then add less caffeine diet pepsi with each glass, allow this process to take as long as it takes, once you are drinking only diet cafeine free pepsi, you can start adding more and more ice to it, and allow the ice to start melting, so pretty soon you will be drinking mostly a glass of water with just a little diet caffeine free pepsi, once this is done, you can start drinking lemon water, or orange juice, as pepsi has alot of citrus juice in it.

But the hardest thing to give up is the carbonation, so what I had to do was drink Icey Icey cold water, as it tricks the taste buds into thinking the drink is carbonated, and then you can add less and less ice now.

Now, I still love ice water, but I like my juices all room temperature.

Hope this helps.
