Hello my Raw friends-

I'm sure there's been other threads on this but can I put a couple of questions out there.

Has anyone used those green bags at the health food store for greens? Do they really work? What is your favorite method for keeping greens in particular fresh for as long as possible?

And is anyone working with one of those Food Saver contraptions?

As a single person, I'd like to do more of the amazing dehydrator recipes but then I have so much food on my hands! I'm wondering about investing in one of those vacuum dealies and then sealing them in plastic or one of those nifty containers or if I should just seal entrees up tight and freeze 'em?

p.s. I LOVE Eating RAW!

I actually freeze mine. I'm one person too and that seems to work fine - the crackers, breads, Alissa's calzones - her marinara, etc...

Do you have a timeline for how long stuff sits in the freezer? Any freezer burn?

Nope, not really. I usually eat it within 3 months - tops.

Can you cut recipies in half or even quarter the amount so you don't have the left overs?

I use the green bags--Evert Fresh--and I love them.

For my herbs, I stick them in a tupperware container half-filled with water and pull an EF bag over top. They stay fresh for weeks.
