It comes from the century plant, they grow all over my neighborhood ( and Phoenix and Arizona)

Agave is also good for the blood sugar. Sugar has a glycemic index way up there but agave is around 11 depending on the brand you use. It is really sweet and satisfying without spiking the blood sugar.

Also - most recipes that call for honey - you can sub Agave for it. Alissa sells it - pure, raw Agave.
