No I'm not trying to dwell on the dark side. Or be Debbie Downer ( wahh wahh) But were human and we all have our down days, So I think it would be cool to share to show were not abnormal or doing it wrong.
So I shall start first *cough clears throat cough*
My worst raw days were actually only 3 days outta of the 2 years of being raw. Not bad eh.
Okay I was eating some BRAZIL NUTS, and the next morning I woke up and I felt like DEAD crawled into my stomach and created a community. It was terrible. So silly me, thinking it was just the batch, I ordered from the same company and WALLAH, IT HAPPENED 2 ME AGAIN. Slap me!
The worst tho, absolute worst day tho, is when I was eating blueberries. Tasted fine, no problema... About 5 minutes after eating them, LITERALLY. My whole body started to heat up and I felt so sick. I had 2 get in the bed at 8pm, My body was at war. But shows how good being raw is... I bet if I was a cooked, I would have had to have gone to the ER. It was the strangest thing, my body was so attuned that it was like... OH HELL NO... And started heating up to get out whatever it was. So the next day I felt crummy, but later that night the next day, I was back in fightin form.. It was a cool experience though, because I really felt in awe of the human body, and how it really is working for us, and not against us. It's us who can work against it... Blueberries. Go figure!

Davylp25,
Wow, only 3 bad days over a 2 year period. That is amazing. I'm starting week 7 tomorrow and I still struggle with cravings here and there for cooked food. I haven't had any yet because I know I will feel horrible afterwards.
Honestly I would have panicked if I had gone through your experience of the body heating up etc. I'm not informed enough yet to know what is detox or a serious problem so good to have a heads up if it happens to me.
Blueberries are raw though so are you allergic to them? Also aren't Brazil nuts raw too (well I mean there is a raw variety)?

Hey Momma... ( sorry I call people I dont know momma) hehe
Actually ch-ch-check this out.
The Blueberries were raw, I had one batch a day earlier ( I purchased 2 pints)with no problems. Then the next day, I must have gotten one with some kinda bacteria on them etc... Who knows. I have no food allergies. I love blueberries. This has never happened 2 me before with berries. * shrugs* But as soon as I put the last berry in my mouth, 5 minutes later, my face began to get hot. I knew intuitively, Uh Oh, BERRIE ALERT BERRIE ALERT. It was a learning experience. So I just got a big half gallon jug of water, put my Natures First Food probiotic in it, and drank that sucker down to clean me out.
The brazil nut, check this out. After researching the company and reading the websites info about the Brazil nuts specifically, I realized that the Brazil they carry are actually heated over 200 degrees to get the shell off the nut. So they still labeled it raw, but it really isnt. But with that as well- as soon as I finished eating... My tummy started doing flips. So I have found other place online that do actually carry raw Brazil nuts, hand shelled. So.. I will not order from those guys again. All a gr8 learning experience. :D

Yeah, I get bright red in the face and sleepy....when I'm reacting to an allergen food. And feel stupid and break out into a rash only in my scalp.

That would have to be the one day last summer when it was really hot and all the produce I had in the house just sort of spoiled overnight. It was all mushy and bad.

Made some tortilla chip thingies and ate them with guacamole. Evidently, the chips had "soured" or went bad while dehyrdrating - who knows, maybe it took too long for them to finish at such a low temp...what I do know is that I had extreme stomach cramping and let' s just say I stop counting bathroom trips after #15. This ordeal lasted for 2 days. I am now leary about allowing things to dehydrate forever and ever and ever at low temps but I have made chips since then and didn't have any ill effects.

I regret to inform, I'm day 40 100% raw and HAVE NOT BEEN SICK AT ALL!! AHAHAHAHAHAHHHHH!!!! But it's ok. I'm cool with that. I can DEAL with not being sick...anyhow, I did have a rough patch of irritability on my third day, because, well, I quit smoking also. So the worst day was the 3RD day, at a family gathering. I told my skeptical-about-everything sister that I'd gone raw and she had an all out fit. I thought she was going to literally eat me alive. I was trying to defend myself, already irritable from nicotine withdrawal, and we both ended up really angry and uncomfortable. She came up with whatever she could to prove I was crazy and it was a bad idea. I did not back down. I stood my ground and still have to this day. Now she's just jealous cause I'm gettin' all skinny and she's gettin' all chubby. I still love her, though of course. Life is good :) But that was the worst day on raw....

My worse day since going raw was when I grew some beautiful wheatgrass and as I do not have a masticating juicer I just put some into my vita mix, well I felt ill right away:( and ended up bringing it all up not a nice thing but clever body.
