I have read some threads on this board regarding seaweed and which ones are raw. I made the prince caspian salad from LOLF today and may I say it was delicious! The recipe calls for hijiki and arame, both which are not raw. I only used arame for my salad.
Is there somewhere that raw arame can be purchased or is there another raw seaweed that has the same flavor and texture?
Also, does anyone else eat these seaweeds even though they are not truly raw?
