So far I have severely disliked almost every bread and cracker recipe I have tried whether I made it or someone else made it! This is very frustrating to me as I really want bread and crackers~ a sandwich, nachos, etc.
Part of the problem is that flax in large amounts does not agree with me....
Also I ground my own grains fresh and made cooked bread regularly with healthy organic ingredients. I worked hard to develop a lovely recipe and used it for 16 years. And now..... I haven't had bread in months and I am missing it! Is raw/living bread texture just never gonna cut it for me?
I don't want to be a whiner, but I really need some encouragement,please :o

If flax doesn't agree with your stomach you may want to do a search on the banana icon for other bread recipes. I don't have one off the top of my head right now sorry. If I think of something I will post it back here. You can alway replace the ground flax with another ground item. Try sprouted, dried buckwheat for example.

I haven't tried this - yet - but since flax is usually used for its binding properties, maybe you could try chia? From what I gather, it makes a gel kind of like flax... Let us know if you try it! (And I'll let YOU know if *I* try it, as I do have some chia sitting there to experiment with...)

there are lots of cracker recipes that don't use flax or that use very little. Try the corn tortilla recipe from raw food real world, then experiment yourself from there. Renee Loux Underkoffler's raw book also has a good rye cracker with no flax, I use fresh dill when I make them and cut down a little on the caraway.
I never make crackers or bread that are high in flax and there's lots of options.
