OK...so I live in an apartment in the city. No chance of a garden right now. The "veranda" doesn't get enough sunlight...so...no yummy homegrown stuff for now.

This is going to sound really bad, but I deceided to "compost" in the wooded lot right outside my front door! I mix every scrap I don't need and blend it with water in the vita....voila...instant compost juice. Then open the door....take a look left and right to see if anyone is looking....and give a toss over the fence!

Should I be worried someone will rat me out to the apt manager for "littering"?

It's all biodegradable and good for the plants. Why not? But people will be jerks sometimes.

I always throw my biodegradable wrappers (banana peels, apple cores, mushroom stems etc etc) into the forest when I'm camping

it's fun to see how far I can make it! And also I like to know that maybe a bear or deer or just the forest will eat it up

I throw everything into my garden and compost pile, and it shows - everything is thriving. Wouldn't you rather feel good about amending someone else's soil, then letting it all to waste?! ~ Cathy

Your darn tootin'!!!

Beside I don't want to be like that one horrible neighbor we had living here not to long ago who deceided to just throw ALL her garbage (old ironing board 2-3 garbage bags, old microwave) over the fence line when "nobody" was looking. Unfortunately for her....I saw her and so did another tennant. She got busted and no longer lives here!
