Anyone know how to treat plantars warts (on the bottom of the foot) naturally?

For 3 years I treated what I thought was a plantars wart with Compound W. It just wasn't working, so I went to my family Dr., and she referred me to a podiatrist (sp?). It ended up being clogged sweat pores, so no wonder the Compound W wasn't working! He cut them out with a sharp scalple and no more problems. He said to make sure I scrub the area with a pumice stone for at least 10 sec a day to help make sure the pores don't clog again.

So, are you sure they are plantars warts? If so, my Dr. also said that if mine had been there is no effective over the counter way to treat them so to quit wasting money. The only way to effectivly remove them is by freezing it off. Does not sound pleasent, but neither does waisting time, money, and pain on trying to fix it yourself. So, my advice is to go see a podiatrist and make sure you actually have a wart and let him/her treat it.

I know how you feel...like finding shoes that fit right isn't enough of a pain without a huge sore spot to boot! Good luck :)

Yep...

My N.D. told me about this trick years ago...and it worked, quickly too.
All you have to do, is before bedtime, cut off a portion of a banana peel. Either tape it, or wrap it (inside of the banana skin facing the wart) to your foot, and go to sleep. In the morning the banana peel will be all black and gross, but it's just oxidizing , don't worry about it. I only had to do it 3 x's and the plantar's wart was gone. The enzyme's from the banana peel dissolve it. Mine never came back either. Hope it goes well for you too!

For Plantar's wart....try wheatgrass poultice or gel from an aloe plant. Put either on the wart, taping it on over night. :)

My daughter has one. The podiatrist is going to cut it off. He said that is the most effective treatment. He said the skin on the bottom of the foot is so thick that no other treatments work very well because they can't penetrate the skin.

Duct tape works for some kinds of warts. We tried that with daughter but she won't leave it on. The key is making sure to keep it covered at all times, for about 3 months.

I have heard that taping a garlic clove over the wart while you sleep is also supposed to help.

We bought some Thuja gel but it didn't do a thing. Neither did the other stuff we bought from the health food store.

I had mine cut out of the bottom of my foot. It was deep. The doctor warned me it could grow back. It did. You can bet I won't be cutting it out again (shooting needles into the bottom of someone's foot to numb it is PAINFUL!!!!!!!!!!  )

I'm glad I found this post because I was going to post this anyway. I was looking to get rid of a few moles. I had some removed a number of years ago and some came back. I was warned they might. I saw on here that someone was talking about Bio-T and mentioned that Shazzie used it and has pictures of how it worked etc. I decided to try as I didn't want to pay alot of money to have them removed only to have them come back again. Well, I did order it and they did come off as "advertised". It says that you can use for warts. I am currently using it on my son's warts. The warts are on the sides of two of this toes that face each other. So far it is not painful for him. The little jar was about $30.00 and will go a long way. Just be sure to read the direction to make sure you are doing it correctly. You can even call the company if you have questions. I did and my questions were answered very nicely. I have removed 3 moles and one was very large, about the same size in diameter of a pencil eraser and about half the height of a pencil eraser. The moles I removed were a bother to me. Two were frequently nicked shaving and one interferred with me wearing certain shoes. So, they had to go.
Who ever mentioned it on here before Thanks and I highly recommend it.

Good Luck and hope that helps

You can suffocate some warts with duct tape.

I've never tried the banana peel, but it wouldn't surprise me if that worked. Bananas have so many topical uses...

That Bio-T stuff Shazzie recommended worked for me, too.
