Is there a substitute for Nama Shoyu? I am dying to make some onion bread and that is the only ingredient I don't have.
Thanks,
Angie

1/4 tsp celtic sea salt usually works to every tbsp of shoyu usually works

Braggs or Tamari might also work for you. "Shoyu" is Japanese for "Soysauce"

I usually use braggs when a recipe calls for nama shoyu and it's usually quite good!

I'm actually trying really hard to use braggs in place of shoyu. (I'm sorry I didn't think of that!) One of my weeknesses is salt. Always has been. I'm trying to lessen those cravings. Unfortunately, in instances when it's supposed to be the primary flavor, I don't care for it. (Trying to force myself to!)
