bloodshot eyes

since i went raw a week ago, my eyes have been bloodshot every day. i dont think it has to do with raw eating but i have no idea what the problem is.

Strangely enough - it could be detox! When I was first going thru detox - it seemed like stuff was coming out from everywhere! the color of my skin was off... my eyes were red, my eyes felt like they were stinging and even felt dry I'd just walked thru a sand storm with my eyes wide open, and yet there were a couple of days when there was also a gooky stuff coming out of them too... very odd!! Maybe polution working it's way out of my eyes? not sure really! But the older more experienced rawbies told me it was probably detox...

do you have any pain or stinging? If it is detox - know that it will pass!!

not really any pain or stinging, just they feel unusually dry. i dont know why they would be, i haven't changed up anything in my life routine except going raw. my moms been asking me if ive been smoking pot too ha ha. and i know its not that.

my guess is detox.

one day my boyfriend came over after a (rare) night of drinking (which has not nor will ever occur again so long as we're an item). anyway, he definitely pushed his limit and his eyes were so bloodshot - the bottom of the whites were even red and veiny. this is just intuitive, but i assumed that they were so read because the body cannot and is not meant to handle liquor and this was a sign it was detoxing.

that's probably what's up with you!!!

so anything you might do to just be gentle with yourself and let your body cleanse. going to bed early is fabulous. I rarely do that myself (as i write this at 12:24 am) but it's wonderful to help the body cleanse. Also just drinking water, exercising, smoothies, eating raw, etc.

If it doens't pass in a week or so let us know :)!!!

oh also - could be allergies? season to anything? raw should help with that too, over time.

Yep, same with me. I even posted about it in my blog. I looked like I dranikk a bottle of Jose Cuervo by myself for about 3-4 days then it slowly went away. Just detox, no worries. ( :

I have been raw for 14 months. I have never had white eyes. Even with 98-100% raw they are still not white. I don't understand why, as everyone else says their eyes are crystal clear & white. I guess it is just me.

Mine too! Especially in the morning..they look glazed over

I really don't think that is the case for me. Sadly. I don't think I am detoxing anymore after 14 months raw.
