Can those allergic to bee stings take bee pollen?

I would go to a place where they can test you safely.

I think it depends. My best friend is highly allergic and carries an Epi-pen with her. She won't touch bee pollen. I'm mildly allergic (gets worse with every sting) and I take bee pollen. Remember, it's the venom you're allergic to...are you allergic to honey?

Yeah, they say that if you are allergic to bee stings that you should stay away from bee products.

Hi Rawvee,
I'm not super allergic, just take a benadryl if I get stung.
And I use honey often will no ill effects. Thanks for the post.
Ghost, Julie & Bella, Thanks for the info. I'll try to find more info just to make sure!

I have to carry an Epi-Pen for my bee sting allergy. I have no problems with honey. I occassionally have bee pollen and have yet to have a problem. I don't use it a lot just in case.
