Here's my chocolate pudding/mousse recipe

2 avocados
1/4 cup of raw cacao powder
1/2 cup of agave

Blend it up. You'll need to stir the mixture a few times to get it to fully blend, but it's worth it! it comes out so whipped and creamy! It's so much better than SAD pudding!

When you put it in the fridge it becomes more like mousse

You can also make a quick chocolate sauce with cacao powder and agave syrup and drizzle it over bananas or strawberries, or whatever else is good with chocolate (ie. everything!)

I have made nice chocolate bars using cocoa butter, chocolate powder and agave. Then I add some soaked gogi berries and chopped cashews.
I have not made it for a while as I do not seem to need it but I still make chocolate ice cream.

I've been making this the past couple of days and it is to DIE for!!! I use one giant avocado and also add in 1/2 cup of coconut flakes, 1 tsp. Maca, & 1 tsp. Mesquite. VERY yummy!!!! My 16 mo. old stands by my chair doing a happy dance while I spoon-feed her small bites. =) Next time I'm going to add Goji berries and see how that comes out!

mine is coconut oil, raw almond butter, agave, cocoa and then sometimes through in whole nuts and dried fruit. soooo creamy and good. seriously the best thing ever. i prefer making my chocolate with expeller pressed coconut oil instead of cocoa butter. its creamier, i prefer the taste and digests better for me.

Healthy yummy breakfast bars:

2.5 cups quick oats
1/2 cup whole/ground flax seed
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut/almond butter
1/2 cup honey/maple syrup
1/2 cup hot water

flatten in 8x8 dish chill and cut into bars. Freeze very well.

We also add 4tsp spirulina, that you cannot taste one bit, my kids are always putting their ultra-power tastebuds to work, looking for what they can or can't taste it in, and this recipe is a winner!

Revvell,

Thank you for the reminder. Have not made Alissa's Black Forest Cake in quite awhile. The last time no one could stop eating it (and I was the only one on a raw diet). It absolutely disappeared. I still remember the many layers--each one wonderfully flavored but all together it was so awsome. Maybe I can make myself a smaller version or individual servings somehow--or maybe just stick to the regular recipe and take to work and share. Funny they all seem to want to eyeball and want to try my food.

Chocolate is a very nice thing in life--my usual fav is the choc avo pudding as it is fast and easy and hits the spot. Also make a morning smoothie sometimes when I don't want a green smoothie or need something sweet-I make a banana, brazil nut, cocoa nib, agave, cinnamon and sometimes maca smoothie. Better than coffee.

yeah i try not to eat chocolate too much but every now and then its a nice treat that i know i can enjoy a healthy version of and feel good after eating. before raw, i would finally cave and get some junky candy bar from the store that was loaded with refined sugar, hydrogenated oil, and a bunch of other junk, now i can make ones from whole natural ingredieints that actually taste way better too. its wonderful. regular candy just doesn't compare.

I found this yesterday and made it for Dinner. My daughter said we should take a picture next time. Here goes:
meat from two young coconuts
1/3 cup cacao or carob powder
1/2 cup agave
1 vanilla bean
1 avacado w/o skin
1/2 cup coconut milk ( add a little at a time until you have the consistancy you want)
Blend

The agave makes it a little watery and I added a little to much CM. This morning, the leftover was firm.

This tastes just like chaocolate cake batter. No joke. I gave some to my sad friends and they could not believe it. My kids and I ate this with bananas last night and I sent some "cake batter" , walnuts and banana's for their lunch today.

Peace

DQ Chocolate Milkshake

In a high speed blender toss 2 frozen bananas, 1 fresh banana, lotsa cacao powder, some raw agave/raw honey, and a dash of salt. You might need to add a little water. Sometimes I add maca powder or spirulina. The cacao disguises the taste!

So creamy and filling. The trouble is, I can't enjoy this at night because it will keep be up until the wee hours. ;)
