Turn your speakers up, there's a stupid song that goes along with it. It basically says "whole grains and vegetables are not for me"
Ridiculous!!

mmm so nutritions! The strawberry flavor has:
INGREDIENTS: SUGAR, MALTODEXTRIN, ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, CITRIC ACID, RED 40, SALT, BLUE 1.
Sounds so much healthier then those awful fruits & veggies.

I sent them a very ugly email telling them that I would NEVER buy from them...and I could not believe how they could make "fun" of kids pushing away healthy food.....in this day of childhood obesity and diabetes...how could they promote this kind of "fun"....I told them I was DISGUSTED!
Very sickened....
OH yeah...my 7 year old heard the music and she came to watch the video...and what did she say...exactly what THEY wanted..."I want that"
I said, "oh no...that's nasty!"
I just can't believe .....well, yes I can. The government who would never let a company sell us something that is not good for us (or toxic)....probably gave them a tax break too. (this face is NOT mad enough....where is the FURIOUS face??)

What about using the sesame tahini? Can that be used instead of the seeds?

I would be cautious about giving cacao to animals. It's pretty toxic to most animals. I'm sure they enjoyed it though!

Absolutely! I've made this when I've been lazy, hehe, and used tahini. I use about one heaping tablespoon. :)

Oh, don't worry! I only gave them plain almond pulp. I added the chocolate into the milk afterwards. I don't give my animals any chocolate, no matter how much they grab for it when I'm eating it, hehe

I am so bummed, there are such great recipes with sesame seeds and I am intolerant to them. MAYBE..........raw foods will heal my leaky gut and I can eat them soon enough! :)
Great recipe!
And about that supid website...........I just wrote them an email as well, it's completely appauling!

Jenna, your milk looks yummo! Can't wait to try it!! :D And you're gorgeous girl!
As for the Nesquick, I'm appalled at that. Why am I still so surprised though? As a breastfeeding advocate type of mama, I've boycotted Nestle for a very long time. They're some of the biggest violaters of the World Health Organization's policy on formula pushing. UGH! What they do in third world countries is sickening. Perhaps I'll email them as well.

Hey, great recipe. Did you use hulled or unhulled sesame seeds? If I like it enough, I'm thinking about buying sesame seeds in bulk. I've been making cereal out of buckwheat I bought in bulk.

RadiantlyRaw,
hehe thank you!! :) As you can see, I had almost finished it before getting a picture! :D And thank you for the birthday wish :)
Stina,
I'm pretty sure they're unhulled. My dad gets them at the asian market and the package is all written in asian characters. Mmm, I can't wait to get a dehydrator so I can make some buckwheaties !
Subbacultcha,
Thank you :)!!!

Yes, Jenna, Hip Hoppin Happy Birth-to-you-day!!!!! I'll make a shake like yours and will gladly drink to your health!!
Radiantly Raw- actually Nestle was sued as their formula pushing allowed mothers' milk to dry up and these mothers, with no money to buy more formula (they were given the first batches for free) ended up with dead babies. THAT was in the 1970's and Nestle still has made no reparations (not that you could). Unfortunately, they are an uber-corporation owning, like, 1/2 of the world's companies (ok, probably a slight exaggeration). I have been amazed as I have been boycotting them how my money still ends up in their sad and sick pockets. May the raw world wipe their nasty slate clean!!!! (is that enough of a rant?)

Hey Jenna,
Thanks for the recipe. I just made some sans the chocolate. I wish I had some to add, but alas, I do not. I tastes really good in the vanilla variety though and even ,y children all liked it. They are not all raw but they don't drink milk so this is great. I am happy to be able to give them this now. I was giving them almond milk but since it is not raw now I'm not making it anymore.
Thanks again and Happy Birthday!
Alisha
