View Full Version : Raw in Ogunquit
Hi,
Heading to Ogunquit Maine tomorrow and there are no listings for any healthy nevermind raw or vegan places to eat on happy cow. Anyone familiar with that area of Maine and can you offer suggestions?
Thanks!

Mara,
Here are a few. You can also always call ahead in advance, speak to the chef, explain your diet and see if they can prepare something special for you. :)
Arrows, Ogunquit, Maine
At this beguiling restaurant set in an 18th-century farmhouse, chefs/owners Clark Frasier and Mark Gaier have created a sophisticated menu that emphasizes home-grown and home-cured goodies. Politically correct types might bristle at meat dishes like grilled tenderloin of beef and roasted quail, but the menu also boasts six different pastas, nicchim canneloni, and plenty of healthful soups and salads. Breads and desserts are baked on site. Berwick Road, Ogunquit, Maine. $$$$

Hope this helps--just takes a little poking around online. :)

Isn't Alissa near there? I love Ogunquit :)
Hi, thanks for the reponses.
We are home from our trip now but will let you know how we did. We were in Ogunquit for a few days and so thankfull for the hannaford in Wells!! They had the best natural foods dept !!! We got some really great organic fruit and snack veggies. We had a tough time at restaurants, I don't like to eat non-organic and all the dressings they had were either dairy or vinegar based :( .
On our way up to Bar harbor we stopped in Portsmouth NH, which is just a bridge across form Kittery where Alissa is. We have always stop in at the juicery.
Once in Bar Harbor we settled into our townhouse with full kitchen and all our appliances and we were fine from then on but wanted to mention Bar Harbor has a new natural food market with a juice bar and deli! It was a very welcome find and wish we had know before stopped in Portland at the Wildoats store to stock up $$$. I would have much preferred to give the locals the business and of course suggested they get themselves posted on happycow.com
Thanks again!
