That does seem cool! I agree that it will probably be quite pricy. :( Another list I used to be on advertised take-out RAW and most of the entrees started at $30. And yeah, the overnight Fed Ex is outtasight-wish I could drive there and pick it up!!! Of course if you had 4 friends with which to split the shipping costs, it wouldn't be so bad. On the other hand it would sure make a generous birthday present for a Raw friend!!

Hmmmm.... now I'm hungry! :)

If you use it as the bulk your food for the week, the cost might not be TOO bad... split the meal portions up and you have 8 meals...

Anyone find out the cost?

PS? when I move to LA, I'm ALL OVER that place!!!!! Give me a year and I'll letya know. ;)

Matt just called me back about the box. It will cost me $165 total to have it FedExed overnight to where I live which is near Seattle Washington. You order on a weekend and they ship it out Tuesday, it arrives Wednesday.
This I will do for my birthday treat or some such thing. :D
Matt sounded very nice.

At $30 per entree, that'd be $120 just for the main courses. So $165 sounds reasonable. If I had the money, I'd do it. Raw restaurants don't exist anywhere near me. Some people splurge that much to go out to a really fancy place and have a good bottle of wine with their meal, so I could justify it by getting FOUR meals with sides and dessert--and being able to eat in my pajamas. :D

Maybe I could ask for this for my birthday!

I think this is a gerat service! I've met him and have had the honor of eating some of his food at the opening for the Euphoria company - that he catered. VERY good.

One thing to note is that the soups will go bad faster then the other meals so you will need to eat them first or they will be wasted. I know this because a friend had that experience a few weeks ago when she ordered it. She was sick for weeks and had him deliver the meals - she really enjoyed it and it helped her incorporate raw meals into her diet without fuss.

I live in the far north-eastern tip of Tennessee, at the foot of the Smoky Mountains. We don't have a Wild Oats or Trader Joe's, just a small health food store. Not even a vegetarian restaurant, much less a raw restaurant.

FYI, I went by the store today. Yes... that's right. They have a store! I can't remember the name of the gent I spoke to but he was really cool. He gave me the most divine carob treat and said he thought it was just carob and coconut oil tossed in the fridge. I'm going to have to try to duplicate it. They had some great books and a lot of things I haven't been able to find elsewhere.

I picked up some raw cookies, alfalfa and red clover seeds and a big tub of hemp protein. It's more of a loft than a store but oooo the things they have! Lots of dried Goji berries! :D Let's just say that I had fun. ;) It's a block east of Juliano's too... very convenient LOL

I just wanted to say that I am almost finished with "The Box" by rawvolution, and EVERYTHING has been delicious. I was afraid to try a couple things because they looked weird, but I am not kidding they were all so good!!!! I am going to fit this in my budget twice per month for sure :) Just thought I would bring this back up.

The recipes in his book are very easy to make. He gives you almost every recipe in the book that he sells at this place. I didn't have good look with food arriving from rawlifeline. It was messy and not cold.

I love Rawvolution. They have found a way to ship the meals so they stay cold and don't get damaged. This is why Rawlifeline had to stop shipping meals because they were having so many problems. Rawvolution ends up working out better for me anyhow because the meals last way longer.

I agree with cdepalmer. His recipes are very unfussy and easy to make and amazingly delicious! I love the mock tuna salad, it tastes exactly like the real thing. You can halve many of the recipes and still have too much, and sometimes the amounts are off. Like the come bite the apple cookies...recipe calls for 1 C of agave. i used a half cup, and even my SAD boyfriend and co worker thought they were still too sweet, but they loved the flavor otherwise. Rawvolution is the only raw place we've been to that my boyfriend will eat at with no complaints whatsoever. the onion bread and the pizza are amazing!

I don't understand this. I clicked on the link, but just got a price list of numbers.. no menu...

Is this something a person might do at home? Like make raw meals and ship them out to people? Wow.. I'd like to do that.... anybody in Portland want to start a business with me?

How sad i am that I don't live in portland. I'd love to do a nice, down home raw food delivery service.

Is this something a person might do at home? Like make raw meals and ship them out to people? Wow.. I'd like to do that.... anybody in Portland want to start a business with me?When you go to the Rawvolution website (www.rawvolution.com (http://list.namasteinteractive.com/c.html?rtr=on&s=nxg,rhzt,4bme,d5ei,hgar,m4jg,bza3)), click the "The Box" tab at the top. That will give you the current menu.

You might contact Ani Phyo (Smart Monkey Foods) there in Portland and see if she knows anyone who's interested in doing this with you. You'll need a regulation kitchen to do the prep. Many folks are able to use restaurant kitchens at night when they're closed to do this type of thing since your home kitchen won't qualify. I'm sure there's a great need for this ... and plenty of business to go around. Good luck!!
