Who gets a numb tongue with Celery?

Am I the only one?!
When I eat celery - my tongue goes funny, almost numb.
Does any one know why this is? And does any one else experience this?

Celery has something called Eugenol in it - which is what clove oil has in it, and I think this is the cause.

it does that to me too. The darker the celery the more likely it is to do that for me. The thicker lighter celery is sweeter for me.

ah right - I'll keep an eye out for shades and tastes.
I deffo feel a difference between organic and non organic.
