There's a gal named Tanya in it... I know I've seen her around, but I'm not sure where. I'm also in it, but I've gotta write a disclaimer... They misquoted me, saying I had a cheat day every Sunday while on raw and losing 97 lbs (what I had really said is that I had TRIED to have a cheat day, but found I felt much better and things were easier for me when I was 100% all the time!), and they totally mispreresented the raw diet! :( I'm on a page with pictures of cooked veggies and meat!!!

They say to increase your raw food intake you can have "unlimited baby carrots"!!!! That is SO NOT what this diet is about! It breaks my heart because they could have included beautiful pictures of some of Alissa's recipes (I had told them what some of my favorites are!), but instead, for the picture of the example of a 90% raw diet, they have a picture of steamed veggies and meat. The sample diet for 50% raw includes regular ice cream!!

How many women are going to "try" that, and then say "Raw Food didn't work for me!!!"

Ugh! Sorry, I'm just disappointed that this wasn't what it should've been :(

Hiiiiii Krista how are you?!!!!!!!! you are always on my mind. Mary and I both wonder how you are and enter our minds frequently. Anyway back to the mag article I'll have to check it out, I totally agree with you though Krista they seem to miss the point sometimes and like you said mis-quote too.
I would love to hear from you so please mail me if you have time and let me know how you have been.

I read it too and it wasn't so much about being raw as raising the growing opinion of eating more fresh fruits and veggies. I was disappointed too. I think the woman on the cover is a model. They often do that with that mag and then put the actual womans picture inside with the article. I'm not sure if she is a model on this particular issue or not I didn't check but I have noticed that in the past. Anyway....the article certianly could have been better.

You are the one I am talking about!!! I was sitting there reading the magazine and I was looking at your before picture and I was like she looks like someone I know. Then I saw your after picture and your name and I started screaming I KNOW HER I KNOW HER!!!! Everyone at work thought I had lost my mind.

I have not seen you since that day at Sweet Tomatoe and you have lost more weight since then. YOU LOOK SO GOOD!!!!!

Don't be disappointed hopefully it will get people to look up eating raw food and learn the truth.

I think... don't worry to much about them misrepresenting raw. When I first heard of raw foods It was soooo misrepresented. But I decided to do a search and found the garden diet, and then Alissa so it was all cleared up in the end. :D I think that other people will do the same.
