Does anyone use one or the other?
I've never used FitDay, I actually found Sparkpeople first.
Here's a video about the creator of Sparkpeople...he spent 5 million of his own money to get this project started.

I don't use either. With Alissa's way of eating, not necessary. :)

hey revvell!
Thought that would get your attention ;o)
The reason I brought this up is that I believe very strongly in eating what you want, when you want. Sparkpeople is first and foremost a motivational tool to stay on track. Sure, you can keep track of calories eaten or burned if you want...but if you use it for that, you're really missing out!
There is something for everyone there, but my favourite hands-down is being able to keep track of my recipes and share them with people. I like being able to point people to my sparkpage when they think raw must be "boring." It is so not! Basically, I'd like to show the people who use FitDay that there is a lot more to being fitness than CICO -- calories in, calories out.
Now THAT's boring.

I've been using The Daily Plate (www.thedailyplate.com).

Ahhh, okay. Thought it would be like a fit day thing ~ keeping track of all nutrients based on the SAD. Thank you for explaining. :)

There are so many tools out there...
The ironic thing I found was that I was looking for about a year for a recipe program to download on my computer. Could NOT find a free one I liked. Then my sister, a doctor, told me about Sparkpeople. Now I don't have to worry about keeping track of recipes...wherever there's an internet connection, there's my entire database! It really was a godsend when I was making food for my friend with thyroid cancer for a while. I didn't need to lug all my recipe books & index cards back and forth. ;o)
Keep in mind that is only a small part of Sparkpeople...there are also health videos, articles, motivational worksheets, tools of all kinds.

Yeah, you can't really go by the "nutrients" on SAD. For one thing, those are all for 2000 calories...for most women (especially raw when you get more bioavailablity), that's insane. I maintain a normal clinical weight on about 1000/day, being 5'1". No, that is not abnormal on raw...your body starts to get more and more out of the foods you eat. It just takes time, don't rush it!
That is one caveat I'd like to point out about trackers in general. You have to take recommendations with a grain of salt...just make sure you FEEL GOOD! ;)

Revvell- I was thinking the same thing. Maybe we could start a group. They have different ones on there.

Git-r-Done! I've already posted 4 times on various topics in the "Diet" section, one being on the Vita-Mix; another on getting more fruits and veggies into the food program; what's for "dessert"? (Black Forest Cake!) and What's for breakfast? Cherries!!!! :D

There are already 2-3 raw groups (teams) btw, the ones I belong to are "In the Raw," "Raw Foodies," and "Eating Whole Foods." I think there may have been another that I didn't join for whatever reason.
I can't seem to find direct links for those, but you can reach those three through my sparkpage: my.sparkpeople.com/ABEEDABU (http://my.sparkpeople.com/ABEEDABU)
I've actually got some great recipes off other raw fooders on there. ;) Check out Snowdrop76, I think she was the one I stole a whole bunch from!!!

Sparkpeople is too cool! I hadn't heard of it before, but I'm totally gonna go join now! I'd been using Fitday... I have to disagree with Revvell because unfortunately I do have to count calories and fat to avoid gaining weight. I find Fitday pretty useful for that, although I totally agree that the percentages based on a SAD diet of 2000 cals or whatever is ridiculous. I ignore all that and only look at the numbers themselves. Fitday is useful, but definitely lacking in fun, unlike Sparkpeople :)
