It says on the front 'lose one pound a day'? My mom picked it up & I was just curious what diet was out there - I'm just always curious about them. It's basically a fruit diet from some guy named Jay or something like that in which you eat fruit (an unlimited amount) every 2 hours & then in the evening, if you want, you can have a raw salad or maybe steam veggies & some lean protein (you know, like fish, turkey, chicken, etc.) I guess I don't get people. You eat all that yummy, living food and then totally ruin it by eating sometihng dead. Totally defeats the purpose.

But it was interesting to read about something most of us already do - eat fruit. I don't think people will say it but raw is becoming huge in the mainstream.

They should have said - just eat raw! That's it! How much simpler can it get? People would be jumping on the bandwagon if they knew there was no counting anything - just eating raw! A ton of people would go for that. So why can't they just print an article that emphasizes this?

Even the digestive enyzme article in 1st suggested at 90% raw to still eat meat! I cringed! Hello, people! WE get our protein from our plant sources, thank you! (why are people so scared about getting protein from sources other than animals?)

hahahahaha! Yeah. I get what you're saying. They should just say "just eat RAW." But you know... an article is necessary. :p

And as for people not understanding getting protein from other sources than animal, well, hey, that's what I used to think, too. hehehehe. I'm sure when people are ready, the information will be there for them. :D

At least they're saying mostly raw right?? Maybe follwoing that plan people will think "i feel light and energetic during the day, but after I have dinner I feel heavy and lethargic. I wonder....maybe I should try just a large salad and fruit for dinner and see how I feel!" then they may go more raw?

I've seen A LOT of those thin magazins with "Detox diets" on the covers and dropping 14 pounds in a week, etc. and the diet is mostly all veggies and fruit without dairy and maybe one serving of lean meat at dinner. You must admit that these "fad" diet articles are MUCH better than the atkin based ones!!

I noticed the cover of WOMAN'S WORLD while checking out at the supermarket last night. I didn't read the article, but it looked like they were advocating a mostly raw diet.

If you've ever seen the show CELEBRITY FIT CLUB on VH1, one of the experts on the panel also advocates a raw diet to jump start weight loss.

While it is amazing that in our culture people are looking for quick fixes and a short term "band aid" approach, maybe along the way a light bulb goes off over some peoples' head and they think "I feel light, strong, energetic when I eat raw fruits and veggies -- maybe this is the way to go"

;)
