Could someone please direct me to the photo section.
I can't seem to find transformation pictures and i need them.
I'm sticking to raw, this is my 5th attempt and it is growing on me:)
My husband is coming around too so we are in this together.
Thanks for the help.

Awwww, Bethanie!

Well, check out Douglas in California Remember Me? His post. And also Valerie Winter's blog. StarFire has some amazing transformation photos too, as does Morn. All these you can go up to the green bar, click on Members List, then over to the right you'll see another green square that says Search Members, click on that, then you'll see a white square, for Valeries for example - type in vwinters. For Douglas', type in Douglas (I beieve). Morn's type in Morn. Once you get to their profile, you should be able to go to their blogs or even search all posts started by...(their name). Hope this helps.
Here's a link to folks' blogs:

I love the blogs along with the pictures, they will help me to stay on the raw path.
I look at overweight and unhealthy people almost everyday and it uplifts me to see healthy people.
We all need to be inspired and this does it for me.
Thanks again:D :D

Oh, I know what you mean! In my office we had a temp for about two weeks. Not the healthiest gal I've seen - drinking soda (early in the morning - UGH), eating CRAP throughout the day. And she emits that unhealthiness. Huge middle, lack of energy, around 2-3 getting that fatique. She looks very unhealthy. Her hair, her eyes, her body. Those types of people motivate me to NOT look like that. Folks have started telling me of late how healthy I look. Well I feel this way because I am. I've worked at it, can't say I've worked hard at it - my Mom says I have, I don't think it's been hard work so much as determination. I refuse to fit with with the "heavy" crowd. I've always been one to go "against the grain" and especially now with health. I will not become a statistic.
Good for you! Keep telling yourself how well you feel eating raw and stick with that feeling. It only gets better and better.

We were raising him on organic food and goat's milk, so many people were against us back then.
They caused a big problem with the State and our adoption was cancelled, now as we attempt the adoptive process again we are now seeing a lot of obese children, children with diseases that weren't common with children such as heart trouble, diabetes, etc. I think back to all the misinformation about healthy diets and organic lifestyle and see what people really think of health.
How sad our future looks if we don't start educating ourselves and teach our children better health habits
Children live by example, what example you set today you will see in your children tomorrow:)
I look at most children and their faces are not bright and cheery but the color is dull and skin is dry along with large tummies, they can't run and play like children use to, they set in front of computers all day and eat junk. And this is called healthy, how sad not much has changed over the years but there is still hope.
I cringe when i see innocent children eating dead animals and drinking unhealthy dairy products encouraged by uneducated parents, teacher, nurses, Doctors.

I'm so glad to be raw at this stage in my life and will gladly teach our child to eat healthy this time we are more knowlegeable and stronger in our beliefs and ready for our journey:)

Hi Bethanie,
Here is a big hug and a cheer from the cheering section!
That's what we are here for...each other. We certainly won't get hoots from the SAD world (only about our looks). I think the world is coming around slowly to the connection between our health and diet. Before trying this way of eating I felt so off but right now I feel amazing! Congratulations for having the courage to swim against the current and choose health for your family!!!

Yes, it is like traveling against the tide but if you know and believe in what you're doing it does not matter who comes against you.
I know that eating healthy has changed my life, i look better and feel great, no medication, no Doctor bills, no headaches, constipation, body aches.
That what we want to pass on to our children.
Yes, we know we will again face opposition but we are ready for them, bring it ON!
Knowledge is power and with all the knowledge and support we are getting from this forum we are Ready.

No, I don't have any bef/aft pictures yet as I'm only on day 11, but I have lost 7 lbs (which is great for me). Give me another week or so when there's a bigger difference. But seriously, by not focusing on the weight and instead focusing on the health and emotional aspect of it...makes a big difference!

When i left the scales behind and started looking at how my body was accepting the new raw diet, i realized the changes were more visible and that i was feeling born again.
Now i'm seeing inches disappear and a slight change in the scales but that's not that important anymore:)
I feel like getting up in the morning, that's something that i dreaded.
But still to see other's body changes does inspire me:)

I feel the same way....the scale isn't measuring much but my clothes are loose on me. How strange! Is the weight just shifting to another area?

First thing I do when I get up is make a green smoothie. I put all the wonderful Organic things in there to. After I drink that I feel so alive. Then I make a nice Glass of fresh Lemonade. All the wonderful flavors are great. None of them store bought drinks. There is Nothing really good in them at all. Plus they alaways add things you don't want in your body. You can do this. It is so worth it too. Just give it a month and you will know this is the way to feel. I have a couple Pictures on the bottom of my page here you can look at first one I was 451 lbs the 2nd I was 351 lbs Now I am 318 lbs and have been droping a pound a days for the last couple of weeks, Since I started the green smoothies. You will get lots of support on here too. Enjoy Doug in Calif living green...:D  :)
