Get yourself started on your fast for the first few days?

I usually have the most trouble within the first 3 days. I am doing a juice fast to heal myself, and lose some weight (I'm not worried if I gain it back cuz I'd rather have fat on my body from raw food than the fat on me now from left over sad, and everytime my body burns some of it the cravings are intense).

I am wondering if those who juice fast drink a lot in the first few days? I usually barely drink any juice and I am wondering if that is my problem.

Anyways any advice would be great, especially on how to know how much juice to drink for yourself and when your body needs the most. Thanks:D Happy fasting.

The most important thing I do on a fast is to meditate and pray. Everything else flows when I take the time to do that. I was in the habit of drinking green lemonade in the morning, a lot, like maybe 20 ounces, and later in the day I was thirsty/hungry for maybe 12-10 ounces of carrot juices. That was all my body wanted for a ten day juice fast I'm wrapping up today. Checking in with the Fasting Bandits really helped me too. Good luck!

Just remember that this is something that you really want to do, and affirm in your mind that you have the strength to overcome any desires you may encounter, because you know the fast is what needs to happen..I myself am just about to embark on a cleansing fast, I've done several before but not for a while! Too long, in my opinion

Also, drinks lots of water (view my water thread over in the Raw Discussion Forum) and, if you are including juice, greeen vegetable juices and some fruit juice in the morning if you desire. And lemon ade, I've never made it raw before but lemons are very cleansing
