Ok so I lost some weight my first week or so, then didn't loose weight but inches, now I am gaining. I am trying to examine other then some not so good slip ups what I should be doing. I feel after seeing what others on this site eat, I may eat to much, people talk about dessert as a treat. I have dessert every day sometimes after lunch and dinner. It is raw, but I still eat it. Of course I am questioning myself.

That is such a good question and I'd love to hear everyone's ideas, as well.

I've just started on this Raw journey this past week with weight loss in mind.

howdy!
i've only been raw for 2 1/2 months now (mostly 100%). there has been alot of discussion about weightloss...so do search out some of those threads on this site, great info.

i will say though, that i have noticed a deep cleaning on a cellular level on this diet. so much of the jiggly, unhealthy, soft parts of my body have firmed up...even the areas where i still have fat...they feel firmer. i feel stronger. I KNOW this diet is cleaning out the junk. so as for wieghtloss, yes it's happening..but more importantly...my body is returning to the "shape" i had as a teen. do you know what i mean? lose lumps and bumps i started to get around 27 yrs old have smoothed out. i couldn't get rid of those before! chunks that i didn't have as a teen (even if i did gain a little weight) are gone now - i know now, those areas where toxic storage areas.

sorry this is so long but my point is...that my body has less and less toxic build up and i am LESS AND LESS HUNGREY! this is comming from a HUGE appetite personality. i now don't need very much food now...and i don't want it.

i ohnestly think it's the toxic environment of our bodies which creates the cravings for toxic things and massive over eating. drop the poison enough that there's hardly any left stored in you and your body dynamics change...YOU change.

as a result, i'm loosing those last few pounds effortlessly...i'm really starting to experience the "raw high" and "raw benefits" that i always heard about.

my adice: keep cleaning! clean out those cells...in the absence of sickness there is perfect, beautiful health.

Thank you, I will continue on. I am gonna look for that cottage cheese that is around my upper thighs to disappear.

What kinds of foods are you eating? If you are trying to lose some weight then you want to make sure to get a lot of juice and watery foods - celery, greens, apples, juicy fruits and vegetables basically. This will make you very juicy! This is my sixth day back at 100% Raw and I definitely notice if I eat too many dense foods (bananas, nuts, carrots, etc.) then I will feel overly full and heavy, but once returning to a more juicy diet (I had a smoothie this morning, and I am now having a salad..and I had some raspberries and blueberries earlier :)) I become light and slimmer

Yes definitely! For the past five days I've been eating not a lot, but more than what really seems necessary for my body (I do my best on just a few light meals :)), but I figured that it was just because I was just starting out 100% raw again and it would take a little while to adjust to my proper food amounts. Like I said today I only had a salad, a smoothie, and some kombucha and berries and I feel wonderful :)

How long have you been eating all raw, smarison? I think you'll find that in a little while you'll just be eating less and lighter and really be able to listen to what your body naturally needs..it's happening to me now!
I hope I could help

Thanks I have been partly raw for at least a month and probably 80% for the last 3weeks. I do eat nuts, put bananas in my smoothie and make the wonderful desserts. I generally do 2 green smoothies a day and a salad, an apple with almond btter and some dessert, also a laura bar. I don't seem full by the amount that you said you ate today. I guess it is stil a food issue with me also. Thanks

Also something I find very helpful is to start the day out with your lightest meals, then gradually progess into denser foods, and save the most dense for your last meal of the day, and also don't drink too much liquid while you have food in your stomach

okay, i think thats all i got :)

Oh, well by all means eat what feels good for you - what I eat every day changes, depending on what my body needs

I know my brother and I eat very differently throughout the day, he never eats in the morning, i usually have juice or a smoothie, his girlfriend likes to have fruit in the morning
its really just about what feels good :) blessings on your journey
