It's the GOOD vinegar, especially the kind with the "mother" (the settlement that occurs). Bragg's brand is what I use. The other vinegars are heat processed.

Alba, how has ACV helped u with acne? I think I am breaking out from the topical application..do u think that is an inital purge?:)

Remember. We are very blessed in that we get to Choose what we eat. That is better than winning the lottery.

Yes, this is good to remember. It makes me reflect on those who don't get to choose what they eat because of various reasons, such as poverty or being hospitalized or institutionalized. And then sadly, most animals don't get to choose what they eat. We who have the choice are very fortunate. Thanks for the reminder.

Check out the UT thread (er, urine therapy). Read it before judging. Especially if only topical. :-)

I hate to bring this up, but i'm curious. I know there was a thread about how braggs liquid aminos wasn't raw (when many rawbees use it thinking it is). Is the ACV truely raw?? Just wodering :)

apple cider vinegar has been around ever since the bible days :p

apple cider vinegar is definitely raw if you get the right brand - my brother always had a couple bottles of bragg's vinegar with the mother, i have a bottle of Eden Organic right now

it's raw because it's just fermented (to my knowledge that is how it's made)

It has helped my acne tremendously - I think it's because it helps keep your bloddsugar down for some reason - in some way it prevenets it from spiking...and this has been my acne-relation as far as I could tell.
Therefore; anythig that helps me stay low-glycemic helps my acne.
Also; I think it's purifying for the liver.
It hasn't hurt my teeth (I don't drink a very strong mix - like 1 tbs. in a BIG glass of water)...But If you wan't to be on the safe side, use a straw:D

So has wheat bread but that does not mean that it is good.
I would think that it is suspect. I have it and sometimes add a little to grated carrot but would not feel comfortable to take too much of it or to take it very often. It is not a natural food and needs to be processed regardless of how natural the processing may be.
If the apes can not get it then I do not consider it to be ideal.

This APE thing keeps coming up, ummmm humans are smarter than apes and we were given a gift of wanting to be creative Unlike apes. Making and preparing food of all kinds is something we enjoy = to me apple cider is natural. Just my opinion:cool:

Just got this off of Doug Grahams site. Watcha think?

Vinegar is diluted acetic acid, commonly known to be a poison in its pure form. Acetic acid stimulates the thyroid gland to pull phosphorous from the adrenal glands to negate the effects of acetic acid in the system. Depleted phosphorous results in impaired function of the adrenal glands and thus the entire endocrine system. The outcome of all this can include body odor, pains in the heart, rapid pulse, increased mucous production, and headaches. Repetitive use will also result in hardening of the liver.

I wasn't really implying that just because it's been around for so long it's good..I was just pointing it out
