View Full Version : Going 100%

In a recent post someone stated:

I can't speak for everyone not 100%, but me personally? I often feel ..."attacked" for it. I'm hesitant to say attacked but the feeling is certainly snubbery. Yes, that's it: I feel snubbed. People pretty consistantly say "you aren't even 100% raw" if I ever raise a question (which, y'all know, is pretty often!!), as though only 100% raw means you can ask things.

Often, when someone asks a question, folk will say ~ "try going 100% and see if things change" ~ or something to that affect. It is not a non-response to the question ~ it is a suggestion.

When I was not 100%, things were different healthwise. At one point I was sensitive/allergic to oranges, almonds (soaking helped there) and tomatoes. Since going 100%, my health has improved tremendously. For some reason, that little 5-15% made a major difference.

ANYone can ask anything yet, the point we are making is, TRY 100% and SEE if it makes a difference in your life. That to me, is what this board is about. Give it a chance! Experience IF it makes a difference to you.

People are constantly asking me if I've ever worked with this dis-ease or that dis-ease. I don't work with dis-eases ~ I work with people ~ physical, mental, emotional. One of the things I tell them is, change your food program. Stop hanging on to what isn't working for you.Stop doing what got you here in the first place. IF you keep doing the same thing expecting different results, that's insanity. IF you are looking for a quick fix, it's not going to happen. YOU have to do the work/play/worship.

Read the journals! Many who have gone part-way have found some difference. Many who have gone ALL the way have found major differences. ASK all the questions you want yet expect, folk are going to suggest you go 100% and see if your questions are answered.

*jumps off soapbox*

Injoy ~

Um.

Someone was me. Duh.

But this is pretty much the exact response I mean; what you call suggestions ...really aren't so much suggestions as condemnations. I don't CARE, it's over and done with, I've moved on. This thread is completely unnecessary and, dude?

You could have just PM'd me.

Thank you Revell. I am recommitting today.

I can't wait to meet you on Saturday

Kate - I didn't know it was you who wrote that but here's one thing I've noticed about you. You put up a lot of roadblocks.

You ask for lots of advice and after you get it... and then you respond -

But...this. But...that.

Instead of putting up the roadblocks, maybe try to figure out a way to...

Just Do It.

Go For It

Sieze the Day!

If you don't have the means to do it, figure out another way to accomplish your goal. Don't let the absense of convenience get in your way girl. If you have to eat simply, do that for now! The most successful people in life didn't have cars, dehydrators, or even an excess of cash.

Be creative and get it done and don't stop until you're satisfied.

Kate, I don't see it as condemnation so much as excited enthusiasm. I think maybe I'm like you, analyzing and questioning and wanting to get the facts before I take the plunge. Or sometimes, I get my feet wet first and go in one step at a time.

I am trying 100 percent raw (I had one slip after three weeks, but otherwise I'm doing great!) I'm curious myself to see what 100 percent does, and I'll keep you posted.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know, I'm glad you're here, I can tell that you're sincerely trying and wanting to know how to make it work for you and I'll help you out in whatever way I can. :)

I'm 100% raw, have been for almost 3 months, except a couple of slips.

My blood preasure, has gone down from "death soon" to "normal", my resting pulse rate is 74, it used to be 160--which is what it is when you are doing heavy exercise.

I have an abundance of energy, I've lost 40 pounds so far, and I look about 10 years younger, as my friends tell me.

I still have alot of weight to loose, but that isn't why I went raw.

I went raw, because It felt natural to me, and I am a natural woman, as I sing along to Carol King, I'm a child of the 60's and probably always will be a tree hugging nudist, raw foodist.

blessings,

Fantastic! I hope I can one day get to 100% (or at least 98.9%; I know I'll have a few slip ups)... every little step counts, right? Today? I had a sip of soda (desperate need of a jolt; I stayed up waaaaaaay too late studying. I know, it was bad) and my stomach flipped a zillion times.

Good signs...
