Hi everyone!
I am very new in the raw world, I just start getting some raw books to gather more informations and I spend time on the forum to read from your experience :).
Sooner or later I will need a dehydrator. In one of my books i found that Excalibur dehydrators are the best and I just looked on their website. They have so many different sizes. Which one is the best? right now my food is a mixture of vegetarian and raw vegan ( I mean I have raw days and not so raw days ). I am vegetarian since years, my husband is not and i don't think he'll ever be and I have 2 toddlers, that I would really love to raise them in a vegetarian style ( at least vegetarian ), even if my husband doesn't agree with this idea.
So which size would be best to buy and where from ( where could I find the best price )?
Thank you!

Welcome! I hope you have Alissa's book and DVD - THE best out there. I know. I have many, if not all that's been published.

She is also coming out with an awesome dehydrator if you can wait. Last I heard it may be some months before it comes out. Knowing Alissa, it's gonna be top of the line and very user friendly.

I don't have alissa's book yet. I have others though :).The dehydrator is pretty much a must for a raw person, isn't it?

I use my dehydrator a lot. I have an 4 tray excalibur. I use it a good deal since it is good for making bread and cracker type foods that I crave. If I wasn't big on those types of foods, I could probably do without one. As for the size, the four tray is a good size since I am the only one in my house who eats dehydrated food.

I actually would really like to make cookies and I saw some of the recipies for sweets...yummyyyy.... I was reading 2 nights ago the recipe for raw chocolate and I couldn't fall asleep thinking of it. I would like to give some raw cookies to my babies as well and if I make something I cook for everybody, not just for me , even if I am the vegetarian one.
I also found the dehydrator L'Equip having good reviews ( and a little bit cheaper than Excalibur ). Any experiences with it?
