I want to ease my way to a juice diet. I just want to eat raw for breakfast, but lunch and dinner will be a green smoothie. I am a morning runner (3 miles), so I want something that give me a combination of fat, protein and carbs.
What to you eat?
By the way, is there such a thing as raw cheese and yogurt?

Yes, there is raw cheeze and raw yogurt. I know there's recipes for both here if you search.
Here's a yogurt recipe:
From Eating without Heating by Sergei and Valya Boutenko.
Nut or seed yogurt
1 cup any nuts or seeds soaked overnight
1 cup water
Blend nuts with water thoroughly in a blender until smooth. Keep adding water until you have the consistency of heavy cream. Strain mixture through a sprout bag. Pour into a jar and cover with a cheesecloth for the transfer of air and gases. Set your jar in a warm place where the yogurt temperature can heat up o 90-100 degres. It will be ready in approximately 6 to 12 hours or when it tastes tart and sour. Serves 5
Nut and seed yogurts can be made from sesame seeds, almonds, pecans, hazelnuts, cashews, sunflower seeds and any other nuts, seeds or their combinations. You may play with the taste by adding a little honey (or agave), lemon juice, sea salt, vanilla, or other flavors. The longer your yogurt stays in a warm place, the stronger and sourer it will become.
Suggested combinations for making delicious yogurt:
Cashew
Cashew and sesame
Cashew, almonds, and sesame
Cashew and sunflower
Sesame and almond
Sunflower and almond
Pecans and almonds
Walnuts and pine nuts
Sesame and hazelnuts

Avocados have protein? I thought it was just fat.

Honey, I meant I could buy from the store. My lazy behind isn't going to do that. You better start naming something I can buy from Whole Foods. :D

I have a fruit smoothie ever day for breakfast. I toss in a couple teaspoons or so of flax seed and a small handful of nuts (preferably cashews) for added fat and protein. I will occasionally toss in a small handful of greens for extra fiber depending on what fruits I used. I vary my smoothies every day and usually have 8 to 10 different fruits on hand to use.

I made some breakfast bars the other day which were pretty good.
honey
cinnamon
oats
cashews
sesame seeds
pecans
almonds
pine nuts
rasins
shredded coconut
dried cranberries
dash of olive oil
I simply tossed all of this in the food processor and blended until combined but not too sticky. Then I pressed into a 8x8 pan (with wax paper in the bottom and placed into the oven (I don't have a dehydrator yet, so I set the oven to 150 and then shut it off) when it was cool I cut them into 8 bars and wrapped them in plastic wrap so I could grab one quickly.
You can add other ingredients, these were what I had on hand.
PS. My husband flipped for these and he is not raw!

My dh will love these, he's been asking me about having something like this for breakfast and to take to work.
He is a little difficult to please when it comes to breakfast, no more cooked food, he's working on being more raw.
Now i will get smiles out of him thanks so much.
Glad your hubby likes them.

sliced banana
pecans/walnuts
agave/or honey
blueberries
apples
I made a great smoothie this morning that was one cup of macadamia nut milk (which is really just part soaked macs blended with 3 parts water and a bit of coconut butter if you want), an avocado, about a cup of greens, and two bananas, with a tablespoon of honey. It was soooo good and filling and a very nice combo of fat protein and carbs. My stepkids were full from it for a while, and it made me full in a nice way. :)

Thanks Bethanie,
I kind of just started tossing things in and tasting until it was right.
Be sure not to over-process, you want big chunks not goo. (LOL)

Does that really come out looking like scramble eggs, almost like firm tofu?

This is from Rawkinlocs (our wonderful moderator). I used apricots instead of peaches (unpeeled). It is SOOOO good!
I have one that I created that is a little more involved than the above recipe, but is closer to a SAD pie/cobbler IMHO if that is what one is really craving:
Peach Delight
by Cherie King
http://eatlivingfood.com
Crumbly Crust/Topping:
2 c. UNsoaked (or soaked/dehydrated) nuts of choice (I personally used a combination of almonds and walnuts)
1/4 c. raw agave nectar, honey (preferably raw) or soft, UNsoaked dates (preferably medjool)
1/2 c. ground oat groats or organic rolled oats (grind in Vitamix or coffee grinder) - If you object to using oats, you can use an extra 1/2 cup of nuts.
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. coconut oil (opt. but provides a slight "buttery" taste)
dash or two of cinnamon
Filling:
5-6 fresh peaches or nectarines (can substitute with apples if peaches/nectarines are not in season)
1 c. soaked and pitted dates (drained)
2 TBS. raw agave nectar or raw honey
2 tsp. cinnamon (or to taste)
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/4 tsp. allspice or nutmeg (opt.)
2 tsp. coconut oil (opt. but provides a slight "buttery" taste)
1/2 - 3/4 c. water
Crust directions - Place all crust ingredients in a food processor and pulse until crumbly. Move from processor to a bowl and set aside.
Optional Step: If you want the crumbly crust to be kinda crunchy like a SAD crumb topping, dehydrate for a few hours or overnight.
Filling directions -
Process all filling ingredients except the peaches (apples) into a creamy sauce using either a blender or food processor and adding small amounts of the water at a time to help it blend and get the desired consistency. Set aside in a bowl. Wash, peel and chop the peaches into desired size (cubes or slices) and mix with the sauce in the bowl. If using apples, peel and core the apples. Optional step: Allow to marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours (overnight or 24 hours is even better!) This step (marinating) is optional, but makes the peaches soften up and absorb the flavors of the sauce better...but you can make this all at once without marinating and it's still good!
Assembly -
1. Sprinkle half of the crumbly crust mixture into the bottom of pie dish or pan of choice (or you can just skip to step 2 and simply put the filling in the pie pan and sprinkle ALL of the crumbly crust mixture on top!)
2. Spoon the filling on top of the bottom layer of crust (or pie pan) evenly. Sprinkle the remaining (or all of) crumbly crust on top of the filling. At this point, you can either (if you have a dehydrator with removable trays that allow tall items to fit) put the whole dish into the dehydrator for an hour or two OR you can serve right away.
Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator. You can also spoon out single servings onto dehydrator proctective tray (teflex, parchment paper, etc.) and warm in the dehydrator!
Serving suggestions: Serve dehydrator-warmed with Vanana-Banilla (basically, banana ice cream with 1 to 2 tsp. vanilla added) Ice Cream for pie ala'mode.

A favorite breakfast is one avocado with chopped tomato, sprouted mung beans, unsprouted sunflower seeds, hemp seed, little olive oil and salt. This combination of carbs, protein, and fats holds you for quite awhile and is tasty.
