I'm sorry, I'm laughing as I type this, but IT'S TRUE! I used to be sooo incredibly shy about BM's. I once held it for three days because I was staying over at a boy's house and could not bring myself to commit the unspeakable act of a "number two" in his toilet. Since raw that's all changed. I look to regular and substantial movements as evidence that my food combinations have been bang on for the week. There are no words to describe how much I loathe constipation now. And I have absolutely no qualms about discussing colonic irrigation over cocktails with non-raw friends. Is this a phase? Will it pass?

HAHAHAHA! There has been many a discussion on "poo" here on this forum. If you search, you'll even find some photos of "stuff" folks have passed.

As long as you don't call your friends over to witness, then you are OK. However, it is OK to post pictures on funky things that come out over in the MOST DISGUSTING HORRIBLE THREAD EVER!!!!:D

Looking at your BMs is a sign of a person who cares about their health. ;)

Who needs Enemas....just got it. My God I'm slow today. Must be that slice of non-raw zuchini bread I had an affair with this morning.
I actually get a kick out of brining up poo with non-raws. The looks on their faces are priceless. You can really get a good feel for how uptight a person is if they can't even bring themselves to talk about the one thing we all have in common. If they can actually have a conversation with me about it then I know the possibility of a friendship. Not that this is how I pick my friends, but really fun a parites when you'll probably never see them again anyway!
I think I need help. Power to the Poo!

It is fun to frighten non raws but I must admit I love having raw friends who understand and embrace how nice it is to live with a clean intestinal track AND who understand how lovely an enema first thing in the morning can be. I have a girlfriend who I'm now a bit too comfortable with :p who emails me enema recipes and their anecdotal results. God I love that girl.

That's awesome! Now that's a girl you can have lunch and a movie with!!
I know what you mean about someone actually understanding it. I was at a red-neck 4th of July party and to my surprise had a very in depth conversation about raw with a person I had no idea would even know what raw was. Turns out his son is extremely diabetic and knows all too well the positive effets raw has on his condition. Just another feather in the ol' cap of raw!
Ohh Goody! A poo thread!! lol
I've had colonics on a week juice fast. What came out was amazing!
I'm only on day 3 of 100% raw, and I have noticed that everything is moving a lot better. I was told that it is natural to poo after each substantial meal, and that is happening already.
If anyone wants to see the mucoid plaque that came out mail me and I will send you the pics! I don't mind sharing ;)

And I used to be SO shy about this kinda stuff!

Warning - possible TMI
There has been some strange stuff in my poo today - I wonder if I'm detoxing old stuff. I have noo idea what it is and it doesn't look like anything I've eaten lately! Do we detox through our BMs as well?

Emilie, I know what you mean. ha! I'm pretty obsessed with my poo now. I love a clear intestinal tract, woo hoo. In my family we talked about "movements" freely so I've been used to it. I have noticed there are some people that are very uptight about discussing their poo which is kind of funny. I lived in Europe for a few months years ago and one thing I noticed about Europeans, especially Italians, is they have no problem talking about poop. My ex mother-in-law would ask me every day "did you go today?" well in Italian, haha. It's a sign of good health! She would be so happy when I said yes with a smile, because it was a sign that she was feeding her family well. She was a wonderful woman and always happy. Too bad we can't keep our inlaws when we separate from our partners. I learned a lot from her about eating well and appreciating life and the poo. haha! Priceless.

Oh yeahhh...you definately do. Especially if you're on a fast. I've experienced yellow, purple, green and all kinds of alien eliminations during detox.

"has anyone seen the cat???"
Crystalzgoneraw - That makes sense, since I'm sick and haven't had much to eat aside from minimal amounts of fruit and tea, so I guess that's technically a category of fasting.

Poo has been of great interest to me since going raw, and I've found that it is not a phase. I'm quite proud of it! I tell my husband sometimes that I've got OLPYMPIC POO. It could win gold metals!!

It's great to know you're in such good company, isn't it? I am admittedly always checking out my poop & adjusting water intake, greens intake, etc. depending on what I see: Does it float or sink? What color is it? Blah, blah, blah.... <lol> I'm similar about pee, too, though not quite as obsessed.

Too regular... that seems to be what my issue is lately too. I am not sure if it is everything cleaning out, but I have been going alot, sometimes it is solid and sometimes not so.... Oh well - it makes me feel better anyhow.

That brings back wild memories, boy. I was fasting one day and downing pink ladies (beet, pineapple, pear, and ginger juice). I felt totally great and was completely satisfied. Cut to my sheer horror when I got off the toilet that day to see it completely filled with blood! I was on the phone with my ex-husband at the time (Yes, I poo while I am on the phone. I am a multi-tasker. I am enlightened) and I freaked out and told him I had to go to the hospital RIGHT AWAY. I also told him why. He retched a little into the phone and told me to handle it.
I just couldn't understand it, nothing hurt, I felt great. It took me 20 minutes to put the pieces together re:beet juiciness. Too funny! I called E.H back and told him not to worry, and laughed for the rest of the night.
Ahhh raw poo. Is there anything it can't do?
