Dehydrate sweet and spicy ~ same time?

I have some lemon cookies and some spicy,salty buckwheat dehydrating at the same time.

The cookies are on top.

Will the cookies take on the spicey taste? :confused: Is this normal to do?

I only have 2 trays of each. No other trays are in the dehydrator with them.

What's been your experience with this?

I dehydrate separately. I've never "mingled" the flavors.

Hmm...I dunno. I've dehydrated mixed items at the same time, never had a prob.

that's good to know! i've been worried about flavors mingling, so i end up doing them separately and wasting energy dehydrating twice. now i'll just shove em all in there together :)

I've dehydrated strong flavors like garlic and onion alongside sweet like bananas and strawberries in my excalibur. I've never had them mingle.
