Hey all,

I made an awesome icecream / smoothy couple hours ago: ;)

3 frozen bananas, big handful of raisins, handful of walnuts,

About an hour or two later, tried to go to bed. Woke up in less than
an hour with terrible acid reflux. { When I say reflux, I mean you wake
up with fluid coming up into your throat, almost like you could choke and die! ] Had to get up and stay up

This is what I always get from cooked diet, BUT was cured in my first weeks
of raw. :p

You think its the raisins? Walmart sun dried all natural.

thanks

not only arent they natural (sulphites),they might not be really raw and if they are the fact that they are concentrated sugar is enough to do that,SO maybe you shoul lay off the dried fruits after 3 pm(I have had bad reflux)

Was that a single serving? If so, it sounds like a lot to eat in one sitting, esp before bed. Doesn't the size of the meal effect acid reflux?

Sorry you had that reaction -- sounds scary and painful :(

wow - I think you mentioned this in another thread. So even though it says
natural , sun dried, and the only ingredient appeared to be raisins. - your saying
it had sulphites. ? And even though " sun dried" Im assuming it could have
been hotter than raw preferred drying. { whatever that means - I guess
105 degrees? ]

I never really liked raisins that well, but started them with this diet. I had better
luck putting dates from health food store in this recipe, no problem.

thanks

well, it was a dinner replacement so to speak. Very scary. But eating
a pan of Duncan Hines brownies at one sitting will do similar.
