if you're not seeing results scale-wise.

To me, this is the best indicator of your body shrinking - over what the scale says.

I usually measure myself every 2 weeks. But because I am transitioning, I decided to measure myself this week after pushing my raw food intake up a little more.

To my surprise, I have lost 1.5 inches off my waist, another 2 inches below my belly button (where all the extra fat seems to be stored), & .5 inches off of my hips - this is WITHOUT even losing ONE single pound.

So you can lose without really losing.

So true. Instead of weighing - look at how your clothes feel.

Sometime last year my co-worker gave me some pants. At the time my waist was just over 100 cm. Last Saturday there was a ceremony at church and they asked us to wear white shirt and dark pants, so I got them out. My waist is 84 and I had to scrunch the belt!

And I still have some fat below the belly button (not that I mind, since it's stored avocados).

I totally agree, thanks for the reminder. I am so bad with the scale and for me it doesn't budge, but the tape measure sure does. Susan

Oh Pierre - that way too much information going on. We really don't wanna know what you got going on below the belly button!!!

I say everyone should throw out their scales! Just go by how you look and feel.

I have never owned one and never will.

I figured this out from by belt!

I started losing weight right after I went 100% raw. Eventually, I got to the last hole in my belt.

Then I had to cut a new hole...then another.

After I cut 5 new holes in my belt...I figured it was time to buy a new belt! :D

ooo yep I agree!! http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s43/FireStar_830/Smileyyes2.gif I'm not sure I understand why - but the scale doesn't move - so if I went by that I would think I didn't lose any weight... BUT -- ALL my clothes are looser and I have one skirt that I struggled to get on 2 months ago and now it is so loose it's falling off! (okay - slight exaggeration - but it is waaay looser!! lol!)

I didn't measure my self - so over all - I'm not sure where I lost what - but I do know I lost over ONE inch in my ankle. Only cuz I have an anklet that (when I bought it) it was sooo tight the jeweler had to put it on me - I was so fat I couldn't bend over to reach my ankle - plus -- he had to fight with the clasp to close (so embarressing... http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s43/FireStar_830/blush-2.gif -and now - after 100 days raw... I have over 1 inch of lose chain in that same anklet!!

andypdx.... five new holes?? wow. thats incredible. lol.

im finding the same thing happening... all my clothes are falling off! i thought it was genetically impossible for me to lose ANY weight off of my hips. lol. raw proved me wrong :D

its odd because about a year &a half ago i found out i was insulin resistant and started eating low-GI... i lost weight but NO inches. VERY strange.
