Local Raw Food Pot Luck will happen in my area.

I don't know what to make.

Flax seed crackers and onion is ruled out for me.

I want to make something else.

Suggestions anyone?

I brought some raw stuff to a potluck a few weeks ago...

Applesauce: http://www.hishealingways.com/applesauce/applesauce.html

Raw Tacos: http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/crunchytaco.html

The host made guacamole, and used it to stuff grape tomatoes. Just last night I made a spinach dip that turned out a lot like guac: http://fromsadtoraw.com/Recipes/SpinachDip.htm . I used it to stuff red peppers.

I got a lot of compliments on that applesauce. A handful of people asked for the recipe, some emailing for it after the party. Others were telling me I should sell it at farmers markets. Hm, that reminds me... I've got some in the fridge right now.

Yeah, that's my queue to finish this post. Enjoy!

Knowing what you've got for equipment would be helpful.

Why are the crackers and ummm onion (bread? what?) ruled out for you? Just don't want to make them or don't have a dehydrator? Do you have an FP, V-M?

If you have a Vita-Mix how about the raw deviled egg egg-less spread and veggies? That's a hit.

O.k., that helps.

Alissa's lasagne. Feeds a LOT of people; her strawberry crepes (make them small); fudge balls, cookies with almond milk.

Craig, why not make the tuna salad? Fast, easy, quick, tasty & impressive:

The following was posted by someone else:

This tuna salad has been in my fridge every week for years!!!
hubby takes it to work in sammiches & 3 year old has been eating it since she could say it (we call it foonie)
the closest thing to the real stuff i have found. We have taken it to family pot lucks & everyone asked for he recipe...we used it for a dip w/ crackers.
GREAT IN SUSHI rolls w/ avo & red bell!!!

Soak 1-Cup Almonds overnight.
rinse, drain & pulse in processor til fine.

then add to processor~
1 large or 2 small stalks of celery
1-2 green onions (depending on size/taste)
approx 1/4 cup italian parsley (not chopped)
1T + an extra splash of lemon juice
dash cayenne/fresh black pepper
1/2-3/4 t. salt
1/2 t. garlic granuals
approx 1/3 cup dulse(NOT flakes...the dried whole kind)
1/8-1/4 cup water.
ADD THE WATER A LITTLE AT A TIME to your desired consistancy.
Pulse until all is combined and chopped well scraping from bottom 1 or 2 times.

i don't use fresh garlic because it becomes overpowering and strong.
I also add to the recipe...for my own tastes~
1/2 t dried mustard
one small bubbies pickle

The dish I brought for lunch today was delicious and so easy to make, perfect for a potluck. I made zucchini pasta with pesto sauce. I used Alissa's recipe for creamy pesto dip rather than the heavier pestos and mixed it with spiralized zuchinni. I added some salsa as well.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks.

I'll try them all.

I decided to go with Raw Deviled Egg-less "Egg" Spread. And I just finished making some. Look like it might be a hit for local raw food pot luck tonite.

I'll have some pictures later.

YAY Craig - it is good, good stuff! You won't go wrong with it. I've taken it to many a function and folks (SAD/CRAP eaters) love it! Can't believe it's raw! Wise choice grasshopper.

My friend has a gorgeous crytal punch bowl with matching cups that she'll loan me. I'm going to take watermelon soup to a potluck for normies. I think the SAD normies will really go for it!

One suggestion for potlucks: I love it when people label what they bring, at least with a name if not ingredients.
