Buying Cashews????

Where in the world does everybody buy their raw cashews? I paid $6.99 for 12 oz. at my local HFS. As these are probably not really raw, I ordered some from Sunfood Nutrition and paid $12.95 for a pound.

At these prices I'm having a hard time dumping 1 to 2 cups into a recipe that I may or may not like.

Is there a secret raw cashew store that I don't know about?

There are other sources available I'm sure. I've just dealt w/these folks and have been pleased with their product. Literally you order them and they arrive the next day. I buy the organic, raw cashews.

Nutsonline are not truly raw unfortunately. Sweetwatermarket & Eatraw have raw, organic ones & sell in bulk. Eatraw just raised their prices though.

Truly raw cashews are super expensive because they have to be HAND shelled. If you find them for cheap, trust me they are not raw. The truly raw cashews I've seen were a fortune. at my hfs But delicious I might add.
