Hi, all!
I'm going to a family reunion for Sunday lunch. This is a down-home, Southern family reunion, if you know what I mean.;)
I want to take something that I can eat but that others can also enjoy. There are a lot of raw recipes that I really like that those who are SAD don't really care for.
I guess the obvious is "salad," but that's not floatin' my boat at the moment.:p
We travel 2 hours to get there, so it needs to be something transportable.
I appreciate any ideas!

What about a huge mix of fresh berries? I always find people think that a mix of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry (maybe some kiwi on top) is decadent- and tasty!

Almond butter cookies! They'd never know the difference...
Nachos chips with guacamole dip? (guess you could bring a cooler)
Oh! Oh! I know - Raw Preistess' Fudge Brownies!! Do a search - the recipe is here on the Board and people LOVE them.

I would do fruit skewers! And avo buttered sweet corn! :D

A giant bowl/platter of fresh fruit. You can eat off of it all day and no one will think you brought that weird health-nut food. :p

:D Thanks for all of the ideas.
I think I've got it figured out.
I'm going to make a fruit salad - the "pineapple apple" salad in Alissa's book looks easy and good.
Then a traditional salad (and take some of my own dressing).
And I'll make some almond cookies.
That way I'LL have plenty to eat and won't feel deprived!!!:D
Anyone else ever feel weird taking food somewhere and only eating your own food? I don't know if it makes me feel like an ingrate, or a snob, or what, but I always feel a little uncomfortable.
It's probably the people-pleaser coming out in me....
Thanks again for the ideas!!!

Oh man I was going to say ,ake a fruit salad! That's what kept me raw of the 4th of July haha ... Mine was simple though ... Watermelon balls (use a melon baller), honey dew and cantaloupe just cut up into bite sized squares ... You can also put oranges, blueberries, grapes, and whatever else you please but I kept it simple ... You throw the juice of the melons into the bowl mix up and enjoy! Oh so good :)
