Me and my family are heading to Florida for 2 weeks Saturday. I will have my computer so I will be able to keep up with all of you on RFT ... I have prepared myself partially, since I am pretty new to raw and having trouble with temptations, I figured I need to be REALLY prepared ... I just received my order from Alissa's website, the coconut truffles, enzymes, and bag of cacao powder ... I figure I will eat a truffle if I get a chocolate craving (they have a very rich choc. flavor) and I will also make mudslides if I need something ice-creamy ... I will also be focusing on eating salads when we go out to eat there ...
Now for my question :-p ... What are some really simple salad dressings that don't involve nuts/nut butter (I wont have food processor or anything there) ... I would love any ideas you've got!

Let's see......
I am fond of tahini with a splash of Nama Shoyu and apple cider vinegar...
blend an avocado with lemon juice...
blend 3 tomatoes, 1 red bell pepper, 1 avocado, and lime juice...
Coconut milk and meat blended together with pineapple....
Tomatoes, celery, and fresh herbs (arugula, dill, cilantro, parsley, or basil)...
I have lived in Florida all my life.... I was born here and I will probably die here, hee hee! I love it and I hope you have a great vacation. If you are heading towards east central Florida, look me up!

Oops, didn't see that you won't have a food processor with you....my bad!
If you can at least bring a stick blender or something with you (they are really cheap at Walmart), it would really be great to make all kinds of raw soups, dressings, etc.

My favorite salad dressing (even before RAW) is this:
Juice of one lemon
equal amount of oil (your choice)
crushed garlic or other herbs
Shake, toss with salad
I used to add a bit of brown mustard to this, but I don't think it's RAW.

Have any of you used just apple cider vinegar plain, or maybe with some Olive oil or does it taste too strong (I've never had ACV)?
Oh, and Shoshannah- I am bringing my magic bullet so will be able to blend things :)

Glad you have your magic bullet! As for the ACV plain, I personally don't care for it... I definitely need to cut it with something, usually olive oil, tahini, or nama shoyu.
