So, I'm going to start off juice fasting. My general plan is to start the day with green lemonade (God do I love those drinks), which I'm confident will still give me the energy to go out into the world and work. Then have carrot juice later in the day.
So, is the idea to drink fresh juice when I feel hungry? I think I'm just scared of fasting and asking moron questions! And supplementing with moderate amounts of fresh citrus juice? I assume I don't want to go overboard with too much juice but trust my body will guide me at the same time. I'd really like to do a significant fast with in-depth cleansing and I'm extremely blessed that I'm doing work for trade with the local colon hydrotherapist. That way I trust unpleasant detox symptons can be moved through the system and outta there instead of circulating around making me miserable and inflicting it on my loved ones around me.......

First off, carrot and orange juice are both very high sugar. But that may be find with you. The greens are great, of course. Kale-apple, etc.

I would still drink water, and I would do about a gallon of juice a day if you can, or close to it. Maybe 3 quarts would be a great "minimum". That is not too much.

The best thing to do if you are nervous is to educate yourself more on fasting, though. Not from "us" per se, but there are so many books and articles. Did you read through the Freedom fasting website? There are many links to it on this board....

Remember, you can always end the fast and eat a banana. The body will tell you. :-)

Try Steve Meyerowitz's book, "Juice Fasting and Detoxification". It is a wealth of good info on fasting.
