I'm psyching myself up for a fast starting tomorrow and just eating fruit to prep myself. I'm concerned about compulsively reaching for food but I take the tools of prayer and meditation seriously to help me. I've been journaling about my reasons for going into a fast. I'm really emphasizing the spiritual aspects. The one goal I'm shooting for is to feel a strong connection with my Higher Power. Okay, I'm shallow. Vanity's running a close second. See what I mean? But I was wondering if other people could discuss their motivation for fasting. And I look forward to checking in with the Fasting Bandits starting tomorrow. Love Stina on the shining Oregon coast

Hey, Michelle and I are buddying up for moral support. Wanna join us? It really helps me to have someone around to report to and for the accountability. Hey- you going to Country Fair? Can you imagine fasting there? I'll turn into a Fairy!

I'm also hoping to start a fast tomorow

My reasons are:
*To see if I can get rid on the cysts on both my feet without surgery
*weight loss for a number of reasons
*to really clean house
*to show myself what I can really do

My motivation...

No morning gut rott!
Feel lighter
More energy
Less sleep ( U won't feel the need and you will wake up earlier )
Happier ( I duno why but I feel happiest when I fast )
Knowing that you are loosing weight and giving your system a rest it deserves.

Vitalzym helped my friend get rid of 2..balls.. that were very painful in the bottoms of her feet. No foot dr. could figure it out or get rid of them, raw foods didn't, but Vitalzym did in a month. Like 5 3x a day. 15 a day! www.ebay.com is where they are cheapest (still pricey, but worth it).

Good luck! You can take them fasting if you do use them.

Motivation for fasting?

I think it is like anything else I do for my well being. It is what it is.......

I like that "getaway" feeling from the entire world. Quieting the center of my being from the everyday clutters of food, people and myself so I can rebalance and move forward......

I don't think about what to "accomplish" with fasting b/c that would be imposing negativity/pressure onto myself. I fully allow fasting to take place and let it be. Like we know, fasting comes with gifts so why worry about them for they happen anyway.
