Hi All!

How do you store your sprouts? I have some sprouted Mung Beans and I'm not sure if I should store them in H2O or just leave them in a ziploc bag... I know the Chinese Restaurant puts them in H2O... What do you store yours in?

Also, they seem to go "slimy" soon...what do you do about that? How many days can you keep them before they go bad on you???

Most Sprouts do not have a Shelf Life. If a Restaruant stores there Sprouts in Water, it is because they are in use and really stay in water no time.

Sprouts are a high percentage of water, so when they go slimy, they are gone. They need to be rinsed with water often and kept in a cool place this will prolong the lifespan.

I start eating them from the Jar, when I first see the small tail, that is how I stay on Top. I have eaten them all before they go bad. You see the next day the tail is a little Longer and the Jar has more room and so on.

Do you Store in a Zip-Loc or do you Sprout in one? I find it is better to Sprout in Glass.

Sprouting if FUN, Cheap and most of All VERY FORGIVING, if you make a mistake......you can start it all over in a day or two..........

Thanks Spicyfull! That's interesting that you start eating them with the small tail...I never thought of that. I thought you had to wait until it was fully grown... I did know the bit about the "water Moses used"...(smile) All the water that's ever been on the earth is still here! How ingenious our Creator is!!!
