Is it raw? I love it and it never seems to be in recipes :( Thanks! Allison

I use pepper often. As far as being raw goes, it depends on how they were dried. Were they laid out in the sun to dry? Were they heat processed? These questions always arise when dealing with herbs and spices.

I myself use fresh herbs when I can, but I do also use the dried herbs from stores.

I use a great deal of black pepper in my dishes.

You can also use papaya seeds as a pepper, you can dehydrate them first if you like, or simply grind them as they are.

they taste spicy, and peppery.

Wow, papaya seeds?! My only problem there is that I can't muster up a love for this fruit....too squishy or something!! But I'm gonna have to try the seeds!

I don't care for papaya either,

but I've heard others say to slather it in lime juice, I also have had it mixed with mango and peaches and it is pretty good that way.

But, my raw taste buds are changing, who knows, maybe one day I'll actually like avocados (for those of you who have seen this old post, I can't stand them) LOL green slime---ick

Good idea, I will put the papaya in a smoothie w/mangoes and peaches so I won't know it is there. It is mostly the texture that grosses me out so I'm sure lime juice won't do much for me!!!!

Avocados.....now those I LOVE. I can eat them right out of the skin with a spoon :) My husband can't stand them though! Oh well, that just means more for me, lol!!
