ive seen multiple raw websites with pictures of people drinking red wine. is it really raw?

..i would prefer an alternative to massive amounts of beer and liquor...at the very least a raw alcohol alternative.

Wine is raw as long as it is organic and sulfite-free.

wine is raw...but any alcohol does dehydrate your body, which, according to the principals of Natural Hygiene, matters to your health. That said, I think it's totally fine to have the occasional glass of red wine. But it's important to note that just because it's raw, don't mean it's good for ya. :)

cheers,
Robbie

silver, yes it is absolutely raw, unless you buy the really cheap crappy stuff that might be made from concentrates or imported pasteurized juices. All wine from decent wineries where they make it from grapes is raw. People's make your own wine is usually not raw as it comes from juice or concentrate.

Some wines are clarified using a fish scale product however. The "fish" doesn't remain in the wine but is used to pick up impurities that make the wine lack clarity. Organic certified wines prohibit the use of animal products.

It may be raw, but do they have to heat it or the bottle for processing?

Good question. No, it's not heated at all in the bottling process, not like say canned goods or goods in a jar which are heated to sterilize and get a vacuum. Wine is just corked raw.

i prefer to purchase only the organic wines, as ive found they taste much better.
when its health vs addiction......i try to combine the two....find the healthiest way to feed addiction.

I have looked in several liquor stores/wine shoppes around our area and have thus far not been able to find organic wines that are also sulfite-free.

The label says "made with organic grapes" and also "this product contains sulfites".

Where do you find organic wine that is also sulfite-free?
