The majority of the people I'lll be celebrating with will be grilling whatever on the gas grill - so I think I will throw my vegs & fruits on the grill for a second just to get the grill marks but not to cook at all. I'm thinking of:
marinated portabellos
asparagus
zuchini
pineapple
plums
nectarines
cherry tomatoes

I'm making food for my customer (private chefing, I guess)
Fajita wraps, enchiladas, you name it. I'll throw goddess chips and onion bread in tonight.
I'll have myself a nice din too, though, because tomorrow I am making another big lasagna, THIS time adding a layer of BRUSCHETTA! So good!
I have never tried my lasagna, so I will definitely make a side one for me. ;-)

I just stuck Maraw's Key Lime Pie recipe in the freezer (although I made up my own crust for it.) Mmmmm licking the blender was very enjoyable. I've never made it before, but wow! I can't wait to "officially" try it tomorrow. Not sure if I'll actually end up sharing or not! :D

Dahlila - I see you live in Baltimore? One of my daughters lives in Baltimore. If you know of any potlucks, please let me know & I'll pass it on to her, trying to get her into raw. She used to be a vegan, and is interested. :)

Well, I didn't really make this food specifically FOR the 4th...but just so happened to have made:
- onion bread
- raw deviled eggless spread (I "did" cheat and added some dill pickle relish but I also stirred in some chopped avocado and to me, it gives it a more "egg-like" consistency)
- oatmeal cookies
- fruit leather
- popsicles
- and yes, we also just so happened to have bought a watermelon

I had fun. Made:
Maraw's Neapolatin Ice Cream Pie and Cafe Gratitude's I Am Festive Chiles Relenos (Macadamia-Crusted Cheese-Stuffed Green Chiles) served with their I Am Awesome Salsa Verde and Tomato Salsa.
Both were amazingly good!! The pictures don't do them justice.

So good, and so easy LavendarJ. I also made a dish of red bhutanese rice tossed with avacado, lime juice, tomatoes, some of the salsa verde, pepitas, and cilantro. To LIVE for. I think I'm addicted.

Garden Granny- I don't know of any at the moment, but I am talking w/ some people about starting up a potluck... I will let you know if we have one or I hear of one. Is your daughter raw also?
Rawkinlocs- what a great idea to put chopped up avos in the eggless spread. that would be super tasty.
Beckla- your food looks incredible! my mouth is watering just looking at the pics :)
