I just made this one up tonight by accident! Came out FANTASTIC!! I used hemp seeds instead of sesame because it's all I had at the moment!
Ingredients:
golden beets
bean sprouts
napa cabbage
red pepper
cucumber
celery
mint
nama shoyu
sesame seeds
garlic
agave or maple syrup
optional red chili pepper
optional sesame oil
For the noodles:
Spiral the golden beets in a saladaccio
Mix in with the noodles:
Shredded napa cabbage
bean sprouts
chopped red pepper, cucumber, celery, mint
(I usually keep a big container of this mix prepped for spring rolls & other stuff)
Sauce:
equal parts nama shoyu & sweet syrup
pinch of grated garlic
sprinkle of sesame seeds
optional shredded red chili pepper
optional dash of sesame oil

You should submit this to Alissa's RFT cook book. I've never seen a golden beet before. do you have a picture of it before it is shredded?

I think it's too late to submit it for Alissa's book? Isn't it?
Thank you guys for your comments! If you make it with red beets let me know how it comes out! :D

Those look like real chow mein noodles - you go girl!
And no, it isn't too late for Alissa's recipe book. I believe they said they were accepting submissions until August 1st.

Thank you guys! :D
Yes it is bananas sliced lengthwise and marinated in a little sweetened Nama Shoyu then warmed in the dehydrator for a couple hours to make them seem like fried bananas (I marinate them while they dry actually). I was going to do some 'fried' onions with it and some 'rice' with veggies next time. My mom used to make this indonesian dish that had fried bananas, onions & rice with indosneian sauce. It was fantastic! I have to find a way to make sauce like that!

Oh my gosh! This recipe looked so good in the pics that yesterday I ordered a spiral slicer from Shazzie's site. I'll also be able to make Alissa's rawvioli as it can do slices as well as noodles.
I'm thinking that this gadget will help me be more organised for food prep - if I have a couple of batches of different sauces made e.g. marinara and alfredo, I'll always be able to quickly prepare a meal.
Can't wait to try these noodles although I have never seen golden beets in England.

You guys are too kind, thanks! :D I have the restaurant picked out for the first location, it's in the works! It is an old Mc Donalds with room for a big play area for raw kids, drive thru etc! I'm very exited! Woohoo raw fast food! :D

RawVeganMom,
Thanks for the recipe idea, this looks awesome. I agree your new photo looks great, (very pretty one of you) the way it's shot reminds me of the Mona Lisa.
I think I bought these exact beets by accident. The local farmers market I sell at had these orange beets that I thought were so cool so I bought some since I've only ever seen the red ones. Don't know if they will be yellow inside or not but will find out soon.

Oh cool you got the beets by accident!
Funny, several people have said that now about this picture! I have a picture of me around here somewhere that is combined with the Mona Lisa, someone made it for me years ago. This new pic might work even better I think!

RawVeganMom,
Yes, you should try it with the new photo. Think I'm going to try your recipe tonight for dinner.
How fun you have a restaurant location picked out. I'm sure it will be a winner.

RawVeganMom,
I made this tonight for my mom and sister. I didn't have time to do the banana part and my dehydrator was full anyway.
So I made it and almost forgot the bean sprouts so threw them on last minute. Also had a portabello mushroom I had to use up as well so that went in too. After the photo I sprinkled a couple of pine nuts on there too. Then after a few bites my mom got a banana from the bowl and just sliced it as it was and we thought it was great.
I'm planning to make more later this week with the dehydrated banana of course. Also had the idea to use coconut meat in this dish as I have some I need to use up or use unsweetened coconut sprinkled on top. The sauce is to cry for and I wrote down all the measurements I used so I can make it again. Also used about 3 chilli pepper flakes which was just right. I skipped the mint too because my sister doesn't like it although I wanted to buy it at the store. Not sure what napa cabbage is but it looks like our savoy cabbage.
The weird thing I usually don't like sweet sour things but now that I'm raw I like a lot of things. This was especially good.

A lot of the ingredients are hidden below the bean sprouts.

Oh so cool!! Love the picture!! :D My mom likes hers with fresh sliced banana too. I make coconut crunchies and mix them in the salad version of this (without the beets and instead with thin sliced almonds, sugar snap peas & mandarin oranges). I am thinking about making my own sweet syrupy SAD-like mandarian oranges by marinating them in a jar with agave & water, sounds like it would work! Think i'll try that one tomorow. :D

RawVeganMom,
Yes, I was surprised the fresh banana tasted good and it's a great option if you don't have time to dehydrate the banana's. Your salad version sounds divine. ;)
I made some plain flax crackers yesterday with kale chips and today it's honey cinnamon flax crackers and cherries that we bought a tonne of and want to dry. If I have some trays left I want to try those onion rings too.
