According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, one definition for fasting is:

'to eat sparingly or abstain from some foods'.

I notice that some people say that anything other than a water fast is not really a fast, but a cleanse. But according to this dictionary definition, a fast could be just removing certain food groups for a period of time. It's all semantics, I know.

Hello Queen,
Regarding your question about fasting. To my knowledge, fasting is no solid food.I completed a 10 day fast recently. The Master Cleanse or the Lemonade Diet, and had amazing results. No solid food is taken for 13 days. 10 days for the fast, and 3 to come off of it.Sounds radical I know, but my overall health has improved significantly, not to mention a 10 lb weight loss.I have since followed up with a raw food diet to maintain the weight loss, and that is working like a charm as well.If you have any questions about my fast,I will be happy to let you know.

Hi Jean

Thanks for that information.

That is a simple way of looking at it.

A fast is no solid food.

I admire the fact you have completed a 13 day fast. I tried the MC and lasted only a few hours.
